Looks like this was compiled on the 16th so it's def a lot more recent than the last leaks, giving it time to be tested, etc. so this definitely seems legit. I wouldn't actually use it yet though since there's an hboot installer, radio and recovery installer as well. Let one of the devs that has time today pull out just the ROM section so we can flash that.

That's just my advice at least...

Agreed...I have 2.05 radio and still have S-ON. I will wait for a dev to give good instructions to avoid bricking/wait for a new custom ROM :)

I've seen where it's recommended that you use Unrevoked forever to get S-OFF before flashing this Rom as it it may close the root hole.

Unrevoked also just updated the tool and you can go back to S-On if need be.

I'm just going to wait for someone to pull the rom.zip so I can just flash that through recovery...I guess I'm not getting much done today :D

Looks like the radio is the same exact 2.15 radio that the s-off rooters already have.

Call quality was not fixed, but the signal reception is better. 2.15 radio makes the Inc reception equal or better than the my Droid had.

I prefer not having the bloatware and having easier tethering options, so will stick with baked versions by the rom chefs :)

fortesquie it is not the date, that "rumor" was started by me but is now taken back, check droid life I asked them to change it to no longer true.

So no root needed for this...Who's gonna try it? As a couple of other folks posted on the news feed, I can't afford to brick my phone. I don't have insurance so I would be done.

I know. My first post ever, and I am giving you all the news you have been waiting on. Call BS, but I have my info from VERY high up the Verizon food chain that the OTA will be starting to push today. I cannot share the email with you I have at this time, but you heard it here first. The FNG was the first to break this story. It is for real. Stay tuned!

I always thought this update would come OTA (Over The Air), not OTD!

I wonder if OfTheDamned is aware she is now a part of the 2.2 release for the Incredible?

Some people at XDA have already used it. But they have unrevoked forever installed so they can go back to their previous ROM. I'm going to stick with the ROM I'm using cause it's already awesome

Little did any of you know that Google has spent millions to clone me and make me apart of every new phone with Froyo. Muwahahahahah!

Why else do you think all the Task Killers quit working with 2.2?

In all seriousness, if you guys wish to discuss this, please stay on the actual topic.

Thanks, ya my Inc is stock. I have been so tempted to root and give it a go but since my Incredible has been so "Incredible" i'm opting to wait. If this is truly the official release version as stated I'll go for it so long as it's proven to be safe. I figure another day or so and results should be obvious. Thanks for the XDA info I'll have to keep my eye on what develops.
