All, if to be believed (not saying I don't) people are starting to get it. Below is a link to install SDK so you can take screenshots of your phone. I personally would never type "pics or it didn't happen", but a lot will.

If you feel obligated to provide proof you can use this utility to do so! :p:D

cant download on my work pc. the pc is owned by the government and all USB ports are blocked with a program

Yes it comes with 2.2 and does not require Root. Works great and has 3 brightness settings. Love it. I use it all the time and once used it for a good 10 minutes non stop. LEDs did not get hot and battery drain was very minimal.

This is a stupid poll. If you're asked to respond WHEN you get the update, why the hell would you include a "NO" response?

Maybe a yes and then a bunch of wise-ass options, which is basically what your NO response actually represents.

Because most of the posters are kids, desperate for some froyo....................like meeeeeeeeee :D

If you open menu it also has an auto flash and SoS..though both are pretty slow. The auto flash is about half second on half second off repeating, far from a strobe. Course, they're just for fun anyways, so far from important:)

^^ so full of it hahaha. BOGUS

He's not full of it.

Most companies in the fields of medical, financial or industrial have USB blocked for the reasons listed in the below link.

25% of new worms are designed to spread through USB devices

The government has had USB blocked for the last couple years due to A) massive leaks of classified info over USB drives and B) a 2008 malware infection that let hackers steal classified info.

I'm a windows/VMware engineer and NONE of our users have access to usb on their desktops/laptops/servers.

I'm part of a group of about 50 people out of 140,000 employees that have USB access due to my job requirements.

My wife and I have exact same phones, same account, same time. With my luck, she'll get the update ASAP (she really could care less) and I'll have to wait...
that's my exact situation, except I've had my inc longer than her, she actually wants me to update mine first in case there is any problems with the update. So I see a scenario where she could get the update before me then not even use it until I get mine.

Manhattan, KS is still 2.1

I've been trying to stay busy all day instead of checking my phone every 30 seconds.

I'm running out of ideas.

Good thing it's almost happy hour, even though Froyo would go fabulously with a gin and tonic.

We need someone to start snooping for update.zip on Google's servers.

Edit: who cares if we don't have a filename....

The RUU (whatever that stands for) was posted yesterday. You only have to wait for the OTA if you don't want to wipe your phone.
