I'm in Houston & bought my Inc the day it came out @ my local store . . . No update for me yet . . .


Granted I haven't checked every single post in this thread, but after skimming, I couldn't find anyone in Texas indicating they had received an update. Anyone???

Edit: It looks like members from Texas are starting to speak up, so I'm holding my breath that I'll be joining the rest of you today, hopefully!
 
Still don't have it in South Jersey. Tried manually updating it about 7 times yesterday but no luck... it's not meant to be so somehow i'm being patient.
 
if you are a fan of the htc droid incredible on facebook, he has a link to the update.zip, you put it on the root of your sd card, boot into recovery, and apply update.zip and you have froyo. It worked for 98% of the people with no problems, but since I have a mac it was being weird.
 
Whoot!! I got it sometime while sleeping! Finally!!!

It only took a few mins to complete (via 3G). I thought it was going to take a while, but Im glad it didnt.

Got it at 10pm last night

Definitely liking the flashlight app, and my quandrant score went from 547 to 1130 with the update.

I don't like that I can't hit the Menu button to unlock the phone anymore or the fact that Amazon MP3 and Verizon Navigator constantly stay on, but a good root should fix those.

Have you tried going into settings/phone and doing a "look for system updates"?

I called VZW about this, they were usless and told me to call HTC. I'm on hold with them now.

This sucks! waited for the update, i get the message to update, and nothing....F!
 
Hi all,

My OTA update was waiting for me when I woke up this morning. My fiancee got hers as well. We are in NYC. Looking forward to playing with the new features!
 
Was using my phone. Went to the bathroom (and didn't take it with me as I lost my last phone in a toilet related accident). When I came back, my phone asked me if I was ready to upgrade. Froyo is now installed. I live in the Tampa Bay area.
 
I just did the update.zip - I tried to be patient, but I failed :P

So far so good. I do not like that Amazon MP3 came with it. I had to uninstall that a while ago because my phone never went to sleep. The application was somehow active even though all task managers showed it off... now I'm back to always awake.
 
i just got 2.2 right now, but i havent installed it yet because im afraid swype wont work with it. does anyone know if it will??
