I'm new here, recently got upgrade to incredible from the eris. Verizon sent me the new 2.2 OS this morning. After I turned off my alarm the notification to update was there! I already did the installation so I hope It is a positive thing. Usually I research before I just install, but from what I gather, most Inc owners have been waiting on this update for a minute. Anyway, can't wait to see what new stuff 2.2 has in store for us.

Woke up to the update screen this morning. Glad to finally have it done. Don't notice any major differences at this point, except for the little apps that Verizon now forces on you.

Finally got through the install and factory reset - work is slow today, so I have lots of time to play and reconfigure everything. Quadrant score went from <550 to 1238. Not too shabby...

Where/how/why do I find Quadrant score? What is it?

Finally!!!!....Froyo is downloading as I type this. I knew I was a good boy all year and Santa would bring it to me...HAHA.

It's sort of like opening a big box at Christmas and realizing that your parents (I mean Santa) was f-ing with you and there's just a pair of socks in the box. Sure, the socks are nice and all but so what?

My battery absolutely seems better after accepting the OTA.

Usually im at around 65-70% right now, currently sitting at 80%

same exact usage

Mine came this morning before I woke up.

Seriously...nobody is going to touch that one:)

Got Froyo today around noon - Atlanta. Everything seems to be working fine.

But please...how do you turn off that fricking annoying "D-R-O-I-D" at startup?

Everybody have a great holiday weekend!

I think the new "DROID" at startup is sweet! Especially around all my iPhonie owners.

I finally got it today but noticed two things:

1) My e-mails from prior to yesterday disappeared. It used to keep 3 days of e-mails, and that is still what it is set for, but anything prior to yesterday is gone.

2) It now seems to take longer to charge fully.

Anyone have these problems?

My capacity is estimated as 2 hours more now than it was with 2.1, but it's still calibrating. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

For all of you waiting for the update that have not received it yet, did you install the leaked 2.1 OTA a while back that already gave you the hotspot and 720p? If so you will never get the update until you downgrade. Your baseband is the wrong one.

Mine is *gulp* 7 hours more. Before it showed 8.14 right now its showing 15.3 which i know is BS, and yes its still calibrating.

EDIT, now it shows 14.7 :(

It could also be because of the reboot -- I think I get better battery life after rebooting than if the phone has been on for a couple weeks.

Got my update Friday AM in Denver.
Everything seems to be working fine.

I love the new independent screen and security lock timeouts.
The led Flashlight is a nice toy.
Flash seems to be working in-browser
my unscientific appraisal is that it generally feels at least as snappy as 2.1

Finally got mine around 10:30am EDT while I was at work. Haven't had time to really check it out until now. My boss got his before I got mine and he didn't get his phone until end of July (on my recommendation) while I had mine at launch.
