I just got the update!

I rebooted the phone 3 times And its still the same, get the beating heart GPS signal that just doesn't lock. Also what's up with the new icon next to my 3G?

those are e911 location icons...theyre new to the framework in dj05/dl09

root will not block the update...in fact even clockwork recovery should allow you to download the ota...but would block its installation

if your *only* rooted and havent gotten it...its just because you arent part of the first (or 2nd) wave :)
 
Got it at 0002 hours here in New Mexico....my GPS locks on faster and better now....seconds instead of minutes. Anyone know how this update affected the "volume fix"? I checked and the new volume settings were not changed.
 
I saw an announcment for a fascinate uodate that was supposed to take place this week...still havent seen it. Was this a cruel hoax. Is my fate to live the next 2 yrs without an update and without froyo? Wtf?
 
North west Ohio. Instant lock on. Volume still horrible but at least GPS is a go. Soft keys staying lit is HUGE for me!!!!

everytime I go into check for a system update I get "The application settings (process com. android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Any idea why I'm getting that error?

are you on a custom rom? if so then it probably wont work

are you on wifi? you have to be on 3g to intiate
