Well if its Miui xj, it uses Dark tremor a2sd which if you look in ROOT MEMORY Faq in my signature, has its very own section ;)

so basically i need to use gparted to partition the sdcard? and then once ive done that install apps2sd and it should work?

i love learning about android lol

appreciate all your help too :)

It didn't work for me even with the terminal commands.
I had to flash the a2sd stuff and it worked perfectly then.

I've got to say I'm loving the ROM now though.
Battery life is bad after using Redux for months, but it's usability and looks are off the scale after using an AOSP ROM.

Just wish all my apps looked as nice as the ROM.

Miui technically is an AOSP ROM ;)

Miui falls under the AOSP Bracket. There are only really 2 types, AOSP and Proprietory Vendor (Sense in this case). However of course to distininguish between them easier, we do say AOSP, Miui and Sense.

Sometimes I can be pedantic. You may ask how I can be so pedantic whilst using these differentiations myself. Simple answer. I'm a hypocrite

Heh, so technically the only custom rom types available are Sense based and aosp? I always thought miui was a separate rom type. Live and learn.

Miui is compiled from CM7 source code, of course heavily modified. CM is made from AOSP (Android Open source Project).

How did you go about doing that? I used TE previously to get apps to go to the SD, but after an update i got an out of space message, so something is not quite right. I'd like to fix this and finally forget about low space.

OK It's an AOSP ROM, Mr Pedant ;)

But it looks and works different enough for me to consider it different hehe

The only downside when you first install it is there's no app draw.
WTF! Apps all over my homescreens, hundreds of them!
Luckily I use Go Launcher so all was ok :)

Going to take some getting used to with the battery life though, the rest of the ROM is brilliant IMHO and easy themeing without flashing, OTA updates every week and the look and speed the ROM runs at makes up for it.
Also luckily I have a charger in the car, at home and work so not the end of the world on a day to day basis.

Thats right. Mine lasts 24 hours so no problem there. Just ensure before terrorists kidnap you, you turn onto 2G ;)

If terrorists kidnap me the least of my worries is my phone, if they have a decent broadband connection will be more of a worry ;-)

Its good to try and call for help.... But you have to keep it hidden for a while...

Dont worry about broadband. I hear terrorists get a deal with Tiscali

Will be... But yeah mate at work had lots of issues with Sky too. I'm VM myself, works great

</hijack> ;)
