Root I NEED A KERNAL!!! please help

lilivo

Newbie
i'm using Kings UNleashed Ultra Blakk R3
and Netarchy Toastmod - 4.2.1-cfs-bfq-havs-more-smartass-universal.

i love this rom but i cant seem to find a kernal that will allow my battery life to be anywhere near the way i had it on my aosp roms with Savage-Kernel-v1.6-CFS-HAVS-WiMAX-NoSBC. please tell me guys what's a good kernal to use. i have already downgraded my prl to 1.77. i have literally lost 20% in an hour. i am a heavy texter. but on my aosp kernal i was able to get about a whole days use out of my phone. i cant even go 12 hours with this one. any insight would be great. thanks in advance

try out a no havs or havs less kernel... from what I understand a havs more kernel is only helpful if your phone is sparsely used where as a no-havs kernel works best with an active phone that is constantly being used.... correct me if I'm wrong...

i will try that way. i havent tried it before. and i did try the 4.3.4 version and it didnt work either. but it was more havs too.

yeah give it try you don't lose anything.... as of right now I'm running kings r3 with the netarchy-toastmod-4.3.1-cfs-nohavs-nosbc-universal-signed and I'm a heavy user and I'm getting anywhere from 16 hrs to 28 hrs of battery life on a single charge.... if you try the nohavs kernel give it a couple of charges to set in as that's what I was advised by other members here and it's true after a couple of charges you will see drastic improvement in battery life....

ok. that sounds great to me. ima try that kernal. i just read a lil more on things and i think ima try sbc, as i hate that 10% drop when i pull my charger off. do you ever do the deleting battery stats?

Also have you tried using setcpu?

yea i had setcpu on my aosp rom. but i dont know how to set it myself. (yea, ima flasher and thats about the extent of my knowledge lol) someone that posted in this forum had his own setcpu settings and i used those. it worked really well though
