Make sure you have your phone set to usb debugging. (settings, applications, development, usb debugging.
Make sure your phone is set to internet connection when you connect it to your pc via usb cord. (pulldown notification bar on your phone, choose internet connection)
make sure to extract the root files on your pc first. I made the mistake of trying to run it inside the zip file before and it had an error.
Make sure you have the lg spectrum usb drivers installed onto your pc.
