Root i need your help ! :D *cry*

i just bought xperia x8 (2.1-updated1)..it came 2.1 from the company.
any way im looking hoursssssss for tutorial/guide/anything that will instruct me how to upgrade my phone from 2.1 to 2.2(froyo)..and if someone please tell me what is the general steps..like step one-root or what ever.step two-backup or something.. it's really upseting :\

Hi,

Are you sure you wanna do this to your brand new Xperia X8 smartphone?

In order to get to Gingerbread 2.3 ROM you need to do two things:

1) Root your phone & install xRecovery
2) Flash Gingerbread 2.3 ROM

I suggest you read the instructions at least twice before you try doing it.

anyway,thank you m8 ! it's realy meaningfull ^^.. and hmm/. how dangerous it is to make all these root and all? there's anyway i can change again to my 2.1 version if i dun like it.. or its one way road?

Hi,
It is not dangerous. Its just a hassle.

If you don't like the ROM all you gotta do is to re flash back to the Eclair 2.1 you started with.

See - Step 1 (..about making a backup of your original 2.1 ROM)

If you really mess up... you can always go back to Sony Ericsson's PC Companion and repair your Xperia X8's firmware.

and hmm.. one last thing.. i didnt understand wha is the diffrents beetwin step 1 and step 2? as i understood it.. first one for rooting+backuping.. and step two for the lastest version of 2.3 version? tell me if correct,and if u got some more time-check my private message
