What are you running on it and what were you doing when the battery died?

Did you try taking the battery out of your phone for a while and then putting it back in?

i had metamorph running and yes i did try taking out the battery and its still on the android screen

Stock ROM or flashed another? Metamorph causes issues on CM7.

stock rom im still holding out for official 2.2 but thats like holding out for a ff7 remake at this point lol

I think it can be recovered to stock, but I'm not familiar with the process, so was waiting on one of the others to post

is there a way i would still be able to keep the phone data like phone number and all that i cant reprogram the phone from where i am at so if there is a way that would rock please and thank you

goto a metro or cricket store that does flashing. They may have the stuff needed to retrieve it, but I doubt it.
what you should do is remove the memory stick and try to make your computer read it. then download the stock software from huawei site. put the memory stick with the dload file in your ascend, then while phone is off hold volume up, end button and then tap the on button all at the same time! this should work!
