you are correct. just open it with Astro and then app manager and install it. you should be smooth sailing fromthat point.

i opened it ran teh app i it said i had to enable usb debugging cuz i already had teh su binary and then i hit permanent root and it rebooted n im waiting to see

i have a z4root icon and so what app can i use for my wireless tethering, can i use barnacle again?

That sounds good to me. You should be rooted now. Sorry, yes barnacle will now work if it rooted properly.

It just all depends on the phone. Some still have to be rooted manually. You just have to check different methods for different phones.
