Root I updated phone and now I can't root!

Have you flashed a stock lg ROM? I suspect that's why some of us haven't gotten the update.

Yeah I'm stock. Didn't do anything other than root and quarantine the updater apps. Renabled earlier and checked but didn't see anything. I'm gonna try again in a few days, I'm gonna capture the update and poke around. I was just thinking that if they are updating aboot then I was on the right track..possibly ...maybe.
 
I need help rooting my volt it was rooted but i updated and now towelroot don't work and i dont have a computer any help plz?

that depends, are you on zv3 or zv4? either way its just going to factory reset it back to stock, maybe no root (depends) no google play installed apps, no downloads, etc. What are you trying to do by hard resetting your phone? If you are on zv4 and cant root, then you should wait until you get in front of a computer and use the lg tool to go back to zv3 and upgrade through donjuro's method to zv4. make sure once in clockworkmod recovery you factory reset, flash rom, flash radio and then flash supersu zip before you restart to system to avoid any problems.
 
What all do i need to download to get root back? I'm on virgin mobile zv4 lg volt. Can u send me the web links plz?

did you take the ota zv4 update or did you use donjuro's method?

if you took the ota zv4, back as much as your stuff up as you can. if you dont want to lose it, dont leave it on the phone.

then do this to restore back to zv3:

after that, then use donjuro's method here:
http://androidforums.com/volt-all-things-root/872005-rom-zv4-updated-stock-rom.html

if you used donjuro's method and dont have root, try to either boot back into clockworkmod through fastboot and flash supersu, or run towelroot again to see if it works.

if you dont understand any part of the process involved, make a new thread and ask questions there BEFORE you update, we dont want you to mess your phone up if you are unsure of something.

Then you will have to downgrade to zv3 and then use donjuros method to get to zv4 which involves computer work. If you don't feel comfortable, then you shouldn't do it, the zte awe is pretty cheap (no 4g though) and their methods are a lot easier.

It absolutely can be, and it only got up to 4.1.2 jellybean so towelroot will definitely work. There is no KitKat ROM for it though, last I knew they were working on a cm10 ROM. The process to restore it is a lot like this phone if you need it too.
 
I just looked up the f3 i may try and keep this phone i just want to get it rooted so bad so i can have more room for games and stuff like that
 
I can't get on my pc it's slow and doesn't want to load pages. I may can go to the library and get it done there

That seems unlikely... they probably have it locked down to where you won't be able install drivers, let alone the software.
 
Yeah that's true i didn't think about that. I'm going to get a new lg volt phone anyways so hopefully it don't have the new update on it
