..but, i've gone back to htc sense. and original firmware.
less all the vodafone demos you play once, and can't get rid of...
but, i have to admit.
i've always been a bit of a tinkerer, but, none of the alternative roms have done anything for me.
sure, there are things like cm7, and number of homescreens. and a few other touches, too.
but, it all seems a bit of a let down :(

Which ROMs did you try? Did you give MIUI a whirl, a lot of folk like that cos it's a bit different. What about the Sense 3.5 stuff?

Fair enough though, it doesn't work out for everyone and at least you tried it. :)

At the bare minimum, you've at least got the ability to backup all apps and data associated with them should you need to factory reset.

Hey mate, as El prez said, at least you now have a bloatware free DHD.:)

yes. tried that.
think i tried about half a dozen, altogether :)
including the new sense.

as you and murzz pointed out, at least i've now been able to get rid of all the rubbish lol.
not sure what it is, but, think i just prefer the original rom :)

I rooted last night (with some help from El Presidente) and installed RCMix3D v3.3. I really like it and didn't feel the need to try a 2nd one, I had no problems with the stock rom on my phone, just wanted to take a look at sense 3.5. It has all the features I liked from the stock one with some extras that I like. The whole phone feels much more responsive too but I don't know if that's the ROM or just getting rid of Orange's bloatware.

If you like the original ROM then flash and stay with Android Revolution 6.1.5. Same as stock but so much smoother and again with no bloat.
