i wont be getting an evo afterall...

it's not really about the phone it's just part my faience told me to get it anyway but i cant do that she wants me to spend the money cause it is my first fathers day but thats also why this sux so much we both know unemployment is barely going to cover cost of living and even though this sux i liked working for the company hell i had just advanced to a training position but when corporate gets involved there is nothing that can be done.

I apologize for the jackholes on this thread. Their mindless chatter about your priorities, of which they know nothing about, are speculative garbage and should get iPhones. I am sorry you had to go through this. You will get your EVO, take a night to piss and moan about how you got screwed, because you did, and get it out of your system then hit the streets tomorrow to get back on your feet. Best of luck.

i already have a night job lined up flipping burgers the pay sux but i will get full 40 so it will balance out almost but this is a disappointing setback i was a month away from getting a week vacation and another raise.

Love the attitude, horrible situation. Keep that attitude up and good things will come. I know how it is when corporate gets involved and your hands are tied.

Maybe listen to fiance. Sometimes doing something maybe not the wisest is still the smart thing in your situation.

I say, if it really brings you pleasure, get it. Besides, great job search tools on the market so getting Evo can help you find new job. ;-)

My wife and I both don't have jobs and both got them. But we have money in savings. You know your situation well, so do what you need. But still, your fiance knows your situation too and if she is saying yes, perhaps you are being too careful.

Just saying. Sometimes a purchase like this motivates. And you have taken a nasty hit. So maybe Evo could help you recover faster??

Just some things to think on.

Ive found that if you file for unemployment insurance (which is insurance you pay into so its your right) sometimes these companies are so crappily handled that they miss out on arguing against your filing. if you know a number available for hr or wherever that leads around in an endless hopeless loop. give unemployment that number and state that the mngr fired you because he said he doesnt like you. hopefully you didnt sign any exit paperwork.

Indeed...

give the guy a break. you think he should be looking for a job every waking second of his life cause he just got laid off? he came here looking for sympathy cause we're supposedly a good community and you insecure ****ers gotta rip him for no good reason. i hope to god you get laid off and your family starves... and you break your evo.

Jack D

Sorry to hear about your situation. Good luck with the job search and I hope you land something soon. As for the evo -don't be too bummed. As long as you got food and a roof over your head you're ok. Besides you might be able to land a rev 4 hardware with froyo when you get one!

well there is a light in the tunnel called my x employer they are not going to fight my unemployment atleast there is that

Good News...A good friend of mine was fired 3 weeks ago. She went one interview and was called back for a second then third interview with ONE company...now she makes more money and went from a Manager to a Director...

You know what they say THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON....Maybe it was time to move on to bigger and better things...GOOD LUCK

You know your situation if your fiance is supporting you buying an evo then go for it...:D

I'm a retail store manger and I don't buy that story.

We get people coming to us all the time complaining about what an employ did or didn't do, most of them looking for a discount and 99% of the time its all bullshit. If I fired someone just because a customer complained about them, I'd be running the store by myself.

Hell, I probably wouldn't fire an employ for dropping the fbomb if it was in general conversation unless it was direct at a customer UNLESS I was already LOOKING for a reason to fire someone.

If thats what they fired you for, they were already looking for a reason or someone didn't like you.
