Ice-Cream Anyone??

I Phoned HTC yesterday regarding a technical error on my sister's sensation as we both have sensations and she thought i could help but thats besides the point as when i phoned i asked if they knew anything regarding the release dates of ICS and they told me that Vodafone had already released it which i knew :L but they then told me that O2 UK should release the update within the next week and orange will be shortly after that but unfortunately for any T-moblie users they won't be receiving the update for some time as T-mobile haven't made any sounds about plans to HTC about releasing the update and haven't done so for 3 months which is strange as Orange and T-mobile are almost the same company!!! :S but i hope this helps :D
 
Ok i have a new problem now!!!

Again i have the Vodafone ICS release on 30/03/12 and i used to use my headset button to skip to the next track and suddenly it has stopped working correctly, when i press skip it's almost like it gets stuck and won't play any music until i stop the music player in the task manager.

Anyone else have the same issue or a work around, i have tried a few of the apps in the market to no avail.

Any suggestions on my issue???

Cool, so hopefully within the next few weeks then!! We have waited months, so I suppose a few more weeks wont hurt........It is just ridiculous that certain providers release it at different time!!!
 
Got ICS yesterday (UK Vodafone Contract phone, direct from Voda).

Only issue so far is it doesn't like Green Power Premium (ICS keeps switching WiFi off), turned off Green Power and WiFi stays on.

Too early to report on any other issues yet as it's only been off charge an hour ;)
 
For those who have the persistent white screen problem, try Apex Launcher. I'm using it and it's lovely (it's basically a stock ICS skin with a few more bells and whistles). It does sometimes crash out like Sense, but the lag is a lot less because the white screen doesn't show.
 
Standard sensation, in the UK. Sim free, not rooted, have a Vodafone Sim.

Updated to ICS about 6pm today.
Seems to work fine, took about 20 mins in total to install over wifi and reboots.

Have one glitch trying to sort out regarding Go launcher, Locker and the volume up/down button. But nothing else appears out of order at the moment

But other people on O2 UK seemed to get the update before I did. They must be phasing it so as not to put too much load on the servers by creating a situation where everyone upgrades at the same time.
 
It seems really good so far. There are lots of look and feel improvements. I had to reset all my sound settings, e.g. ringtone, message notification etc..., but other than that, there have been no problems.

I'm very pleased with it :).
 
glad to hear it looking forward to when it finally roles out to me :L just wondering though does the update come with the panoramic function for the camera?

:eek::eek::eek: - I tried a manual search about 1600hrs this afternoon(02/04/12) and it found nothing! I will try again in the morning, fingers crossed!!

Hope all of you that have been lucky enough to get it are enjoying it!!

General 'new ICS user' comments:

1. My phone suffers from more lag than it did :(
2. Less RAM is available than before ICS :(
3. TinyPlayer seems to have broken

Q. Is it possible to get rid of that sucky toolbar at the bottom of the screen?
 
Got my update last night on Unbranded phone on Orange in UK. Had a good play with it today and its awesome. So quick and slick, well worth the wait.

1 downside, Skygo isnt working

Yes, I have a problem now with SkyGo too. It now says "not supported on this device", when I select a channel for viewing.
