Ice-Cream Anyone??

i got fed up with tmobile and rooted mine last night. considering tmobile customers had to wait 6 months for a minor update to 2.3 i simply dont trust them to support their phones properly anymore.

gone for a senseless rom and my anker battery is still on 60% after 12 hours off charge with day to day usage. really impressed.

Got the upgrade last night, unbranded, on Sure (Cable&Wireless) in the Channel Islands. All my sounds are back at default, and no Sky Go as expected. Other than that it's what I expected, refreshed UI, a few new features like face unlock. I hope it fixes the stability/white screen issue.

Is there anyway to push the update manually, as it seems I am the only person in the world who hasn't yet got the update. I do the manual search for software updates 2-3 times a day but nothing is found!!

Im on Orange branded phone (Orange uk)

Just had the ICS update notification & am in the process of updating my Sensation.... Looks a biggie to download, so I may be some time !!

On a serious note, I'll post my results after the update has completed!

UPDATE.
Phone finally updated, took a looong time to reboot back to standard. but the results are only can be described as a total revamp of the OS. Lots of different functions, as expected.

what about speed navigating around the phone, opening apps etc?

Mine is terribly slow and very laggy now and if I'm honest I seriously regret getting the update :(

Hi,
Was this an Orange Branded UK Sensation (not XE)?

To both questions:

a) It was an Orange branded UK Sensation, not XE or the like.

b) It was laggy to start, not as slick as the previous Gingerbread version I had on there, but nevertheless, not after a reboot ( to sort out the music syncing issues being seen) It seems to ahve stabilised out nicely.
Loads of stuff have been moved to different locations, as per the thread on page one where the FULL list of changes are.
All in All a lot better with less issues than I anticipated.

I have the unbranded Sensation and have yet to receive the update (based in uk). Has anyone managed to successfully install it on a rooted phone and then restore it back with OTA Rootkeeper?

Ive been manually checking everyday for the last 2 weeks, and have nothing, im on an Orange Branded Sensation, i want ICS!!!!! lol

I'm in the same boat, uk orange business phone and checked everyday this week but no sign of ics... What the hell is going on?

UK Orange branded standard Sensation.

Had no idea an update was imminent, but it told me last night. Installed this morning and everything seems fine so far - bit alarmed at all the problems others seem to be having though...

Only issue so far is pinch-to-zoom-out to start a new tab in the browser has gone, which is a PITA....

It seems since I've updated, the time on my phone is 10-15 minutes out! Anyone else suffering the same?? Fixes anyone who??

I have had this issue on a couple of occasions. The first time I couldn't correct it so I manually set the time to sort it out. Since going back to automatic, it has corrected itself. The other simular issue I had was when the time was frozen. This was a widget problem. Removing and replacing it solved it
