Just a wee heads up, there's an Ice Cream Sandwich flavoured ROM on the go based on CM7, Android 2.3.7 and LorDmods 8.0 BFS Kernel. From what I can tell, it uses the ICS Launcher available on the market and has the Clock, music app, the Market app and there's even the Galaxy Nexus boot animation linked in the thread too.

knew it wouldn't be long before this sort of thing was happening. I did read (somewhere on here I think) that there would be no CM9 until google released the source code for ICS, but I guess that this would be an inbetween!

Unfortunately they can't get the touchscreen working with any of the current ICS builds out there at the moment The source can't come quickly enough.

Even that's getting closer by all accounts.

I'm due an upgrade at the end of January so dependant on how fast the devs can work their magic, I'll probably have an ICS phone by the time a decent ICS ROM is released for the DHD. (I've no idea how long that sort of thing normally takes).

Just been talking to Prez on the subject of rooting an SGS for my mate, think that could possibly be the next thing i make a hash of, christ its a bit complicated (for me anyway)

All the lines of code that make ICS, what it is has been released, meaning the devs can download, hack and make work it on the DHD (hopefully).

I've not been in the game long enough to know how long it takes the source to become a working ROM though.

They say on their site, they're still committed to getting a CM7.2 out whilst still working on CM9 too.
