Ok, so after some much needed sleep and spec research. I have determined that I probably need to take code for 1x and 3G from the Lucid; and 4G from the Viper. Apparently, Metro's 3G is the same frequency as Verizon's, and Metro's 4G is the same frequency as Sprint's (coincidence anyone?)

They share towers. Not surprised. Clear Wireless uses Sprints WiMax towers. I'm surprised that us metro users don't have a 4G Mac address

The reason that we do not have a 4G MAC Address is because we do not use WiMax or LTE Rev. 1, we use VoLTE

Is that the reason we can't put *#*#4636#*#* in and change the network and y we loose 4G when we flash lg lucid ics rom

To answer part 1: most likely, yes. Part 2: No, because Verizon also uses VoLTE, just on a different frequency. It seems that the Lucid ICS may actually cause the hardware to malfunction or it changes something that cannot be fixed by a simple ROM flash.

Well after only 3 attempts, I have managed to get the Lucid's ICS Kernel to compile with the default cayman_mpcs_defconfig. Woot, we may be one step closer to ICS, I am downloading the Android source code now... may just try to cheat and port something though.

Well, I am working on it, I am going to use my kernel to make an AOSP rom to make sure that it boots, and then I will upload it for anyone to use. I am just having some problems, because my computer has a 32-bit processor, so I have to use a custom toolchain to compile ICS.

Yes, and once I know it boots, I will release it for public usage.

There are 3 issues with this: 1) idk what version of android CM9 is based on (my kernel is 4.0.3); 2)CM uses a custom kernel not stock iirc; and 3) my kernel is based on the LUCID, not the Viper

AOSP Android version 4.0.3 is building as I type this. Then I plan to do some alpha testing prior to release (if it boots)

You and me both. On a more positive note, Google lied you do NOT need a 64-bit computer to compile android 4, it jist takes forever (4 hours so far)
