I found this better than Ice Cold Sandwich. Slightly smoother and good battery life and no crashes!. Have yet to try MIUI ICS.

Do a backup mate and give it a try, think you may be pleasantly surprised, i have been using it for a week or so, and i really like it. :)

Have you tried the ascension ICS? Just asking if you think MIUI is better. Well nothing lost by trying it i guess. Backup here we come!;)

Just installed the version that was updated today mate, not sure what the previous version was like, but this one seems good too. Compared to MIUI i would say they are pretty much similar, except MIUI have put their own "stamp" on the rom, where as ascension is pretty much stock. One plus for ascension, the included camera works. The trouble is now, how do we choose which one?:confused:

To me it sounds a bit tinny, a bit like a speaker with high treble and negative bass, but it could've been the persons phone I was calling.
 
Am running the latest weekly release of the miui ICS Rom (24/02/12) and have to say it's so stable it may as well be GB... Also it's a lot more miui-ish too with a very familiar look and feel. Don't think I'll be changing for a while, well except until the next weekly release.

Is that RD MIUI? There are quite a few ICS MIUI ROMs now and i'm not sure which one to try out...

I have no problems with call quality, recently they did add a "HTC desire HD sound fix" in the tools section, that might fix your problem?
Meanwhile I'm on Ascension v1.0A5-b1

Also the chrome beta works since V1.0A4-b1
 
Is there an ICS out there that is a worthwhile update on the Desire HD and suitable for everyday use, if there isnt it cant be far away, im on Android Revolution 7.0

I have tried the MIUI ics and I am using the Ascension one at the mo. Both are very usable mate, yeah there's a few bugs still, but they're not far off now.

Can anyone try to see if this game running fred works on their ICS rom? Whenever I get to the screen saying tap to start, tapping wouldn't do anything so I press home to exit the game. I tried both on Ice cold sandwich and ascension.

Same problem here. Tapping the screen does nothing, maybe it's not optimized for ICS yet?

Same here. I've noticed spotty touch screen response in a few other games too. I know a while back they temporarily broke any unity powered games, for example.
