Yeah, I gave it a go for about 20 minutes yesterday. Unfortunately, WiFi doesn't work yet, which kind of limited what I could try out.

Alpha 2 is out, with working wifi and a working home button. The microphone still doesn't work, and I presume it's still slow, so it's still not ready for use.

i flashed this

it rebooted loaded to htc screen then right back into recovery

Did you make sure to do a full wipe before flashing?

Reading your post again, the fact that it booted to recovery again is pretty odd.

If a flash goes bad, usually it will then get stuck on the boot image and not do anything. Going back to the recovery would be an new one to me.

Perhaps you hit the reboot to recovery option within rom manager? Its the top option in the flashing menu and so if you don't back out enough after flashing you can hit that instead of the proper reboot option. Its happened to me before.

ok got it installed

i tried an alpha releaced on about page 200 by some guy lol

got it installed

works nice but no market

i downloaded market but there no where to add my gmail account

only a corporate exchange account or norma email

thinking i need the gaaps package which i will try later

been reading through the Dev thread again, they are making good progress, i think the only major thing is the hardware acceleration

being honest though when i installed it was not as slow as i expected it is usable

Hardware acceleration is probably the new feature I most want to see in action. Here's hoping they crack it soon.

Got this installed just 30 mins ago

installed fine

installed gapps

gmail working fine

can download from market

only thing i have found that does not work so far app wise is screenshot

EDIT: just read on XDA there is a download link for a new alpha with 2d hardware acceleration

so will flash this tonight :)

Its still a little slow due to no hardware acceleration but very usable

Judging by the comments I read there this morning, the hardware acceleration they've got going right now on some of the builds is more of a quick fix implementation than the real ICS way of doing things anyway.

I'm pretty impressed with it so far :) It's a little sluggish in places but its actually quite smooth the rest of the time. (Apparently 3D hardware acceleration is on the to do list still).

Make sure to turn off spell correction in the settings if you try it - it seems to flag everything as a misspelling.

As usual:rolleyes: think i'll wait until there are a full set of instructions posted on here from you know who:confused:
