Root ICS MIUI issues?

I installed ICS MIUI a few weeks ago and I loved it. It was running so fast and never forced closed. Lately though everything has been force closing and its been very slowing and lagging. Has anyone ran into problem like this or know how to fix them?

this is probably the build up of cache in certain apps, that arent ready for the ics framework yet. though i dont really see that as the culprit.

try clearing your cache and dalvik cache in recovery, and that might actually do the trick.

if not it could be that your phone just doesnt want to perform the way it should today.

i would also suggest clearing the cache, and dalvik....and just for a heads up...after clearing dalvik...don't be alarmed if your phone takes FOREVER to reboot...its normal...

I just tried to boot into recovery using the power button options, droid 2 and X recovery apps and clockwork and it just boots me back to my phone.

ICS MIUI 1.11.9 stock launcher...i just have the two bootstrapps installed and clockwork if thats what your talking about.

ahh...ive stayed away from the 2nd init roms for the most part....BUT, im pretty sure that the bootstrappers (DX, D2) do not work at all for 2nd init roms...

ReBoot your phone when your led flashes blue press the volume down button

Also select recovery that will give you 3 choices I do not know the difference from current and stable they both seem to be the same

Worked! Thanks! Now lets see if my phone runs amazing again.

Yeah I've always used current, stable seems to be the "currently" stable recovery, either way, you only have 2 on board and I've never gotten to stock through miui - btw this option is on ALL post FY miui builds, it used to state the boot-up option when you updated the build via zip but I haven't seen it lately - basically if your led flashed blue>green between the moto logo and boot animation, the option is there. Pretty nice if you have boot-loop issues too.

OP I tried this "cleaning" and it helped me, thanks for the tip!

I love this ROM as well and only have one issue with it and that's the force close I get in the market. Seems like I get about a minute once I open it before it FC. Can't figure out why and wiping both cache's doesn't work but I don't care, I'm gonna enjoy this ROM until I get my hands on a GNex.

How about going into settings... applications... find market and uninstall updates?

Also, any time you get FC's, I like to fix permissions in recovery (or Rom Manager).

Does anyone else have issues with the camera not focusing? I turned the autofocus on and it didn't help at all. Any suggesstions?

Anyone having an issue with the camera/video recorder with ICS MIUI? I just found out today that the video often skips and freezes while recording, and a picture I tried to take came out very blurry.

Anyone have any camera apps to recommend? I have a 2 month old and need to catch every moment. :)

I use and like Vignette, personally.

If your camera is on 6 megapixels try setting it to 8, the autofocus has issues on 6MP on ICS MIUI. Every single picture I took came out blurry until I switched it.
