ICS port from SDK

Just thought I would let my fellow Nexus S users know there is a stable port of ICS for the Nexus S. (Nothing important is broken, YAY!)

This is for root users only, this was quick, thanks to the devs that put their hard work, and effort into it.

I flashed it last night to try it out, this one is a daily driver. It's still missing quite a few of the new features because it's based off of build 13. But other than that it works pretty great, not bad at all for an SDK port. I was very skeptical about flashing it, once I found out everything was working, I figured it was worth a try.

It was fun to play around with for a minute, but I decided to flash back to my favorite rom until they release the OTA update, or have a rom based off of AOSP.

How to root:
Flash this file in CWM.

Can be used as a daily ROM.
Note: This ROM is a build 13 version, latest is build 14, so don't expect all the features, i.e. New Icons, Face Unlock etc.

I also thought I would mention, Hardware acceleration makes a huge difference. I've never had my device run this smoothly before, there was 0 lag the whole time I was using it.

Yeah, hardware acceleration is one of the features I was really looking forward to.

I know a couple of devs were discussing in porting your SDK build to my phone, so I hope they can pull it off.

I've been following the thread on XDA as well however I'll wait for the official release. Regardless, good on the dev for the work they have done.

I flashed the ICS B4 yesterday. It's pretty stable but yes, there are a few glitches. Overall it's a nice UI improvement over GB.

They're on Beta 8 now but I've just reverted back to Cyanogen 7.1. There's just too many apps that I need that aren't working with the new build. I'll try again when the RC comes out.

hold your horses ,CM will come up with a stable build after the release of ICS
