So for those of who havent heard, I have recruited Savoxis to the Spec. community and he is going to work on a ICS version of Velocity! Also we are going to get a different recovery called AmonRa built by GNM. Awesome huh? :) Now he needs a device to do this and he has already recieved $130 of $200 necessary to purchase a Spec to do his magic. There is more info on this in another thread:
http://androidforums.com/spectrum-a...at-kind-rom-work-would-you-like-see-next.html

More importantly his chipin link, which shows a running total of donations is this:

ChipIn: LG Spectrum

Please help guys! Thanks

awesome CT thanks alot for donating! it seems like the link didn't always reflect new totals immediately. thanks again for helping the community out with this :-) I personally appreciate it alot and I know savoxis is gonna do awesome work for us!

the link is now reflecting your donation!

I'd like to officially welcome savoxis to the spectrum community thanks to the help of all you who donated. this is by far the best, most generous community on this site and we just proved it once again

If its one thing this community is good at, its rasing money for Dev's!!! Thats 3 devices through monetary donation threads and i think 2 or 3 others devices have been privately donated.

I told you the money would be raised admn! I wonder if savoxis knows yet. We should have some serious romage soon =D

ME TOO! Agree - the only reason I donate is cuz I know someone else will back it up - I guess we all feel that way...

Plus - the SPEC is just such a good platform that it deserved serious attention.... :car: like this car gets!

I just wanted to let you all know savoxis received his spectrum this week and is getting things set up to get to work :-)

Whoa...that's the easiest way to both piss off and run off a dev. Most devs have a sense of pride in their work and I can assure you the moment they make some progress and have an update their not gonna think "nah screw it I'm gonna keep this to myself! LOL...

When you want an update press the F5 key.

I already apologized! I'm glad we have devoted devs on our side and I can't wait for what they brew up for the spectrum

I think we're all excited to see what the devs come up with and are anxious to see the good work they'll put out. Its hard to be patient sometimes. Thanks devs and thanks for understanding we're trying to be patient but sometimes excitement gets the better of any of us.

What we need is someone to post the best way for us all to bug LG to get the kernel source released, then get everyone to do it at least twice a week until they give it to us.
