ICS - Surely someone must've built a decent working ROM by now?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good/stable 4.0.4 roms. I haven't bothered with 4.0.3 due to the mixed reviews plus I'm reasonably happy with gingerbread!

Any feedback will be much appreciated
 
i tried the new hydrog3n rom and instantly disliked it, plus it FC on everything i tried to do with it. went back to 4.0.3 omega
 
I'm not even sure if it is 4.0.4 or is in fact 4.0.3 and has been mis printed as such, or is it because it is cm based? I thought a Samsung release of 4.0.4 is months away.

whatever it is it didnt like my phone, it stayed on for less than 30 mins, yes i did full wipe etc etc
 
I've never tried a cm/aosp/aokp based rom before.
Can someone point out the advantages/disadvantages over Sammy ROMs?

Will Sammy apps such as Kies Air still work on this, along with "bread and butter" bundled apps such as Swype, Navigation included? If not, are they even compatible?

I assume a CM based ROM is still tightly linked to your Google account for Contacts/Calendar etc?

Does anyone have any links to screenshots of this ROM, with perhaps some screenies of themes?
There are only 2 very bland homescreen shots on the xda thread, along with a pretty pointless video
 
it didnt stay on my phone long enough to test, i hated it from the word go

how an OS so simple can feel and look so bad and yet they have got a huge following/fanbase is beyond me

maybe ive just got so used to being spoilt by CRR and Omega

The only part of hydrog3n i thought was really good was the rom control option
 
I'm using HyDr0G3N 10/04 ROM + Siyah 3.0.1

Couldn't be happier. Awesome AOKP based ROM.
 
I gave Hydrog3n a quick go for about an hour. Didnt get on with it at all. I couldnt even find where to set up my google account in order to bring in my contacts+calendar.
And the calendar app itself I hated.

Back on CheckROM again. :rolleyes:
