Root ICS theme UPDATED: 7/9/2012 in blue and purple Power widget ics theme add/edited

Guess I'll do me some editing this evening. I assume gimp works well for this? What do you open apk's with

Well, depends if I am editing XMLs or not, if I am then I decompile with apktool and zip if not, just zip. like winzip or 7zip

Well for me I'd just pull the graphic files using 7zip, edit the color and put em back with 7zip? Shouldn't need to decompile or recompile or edit xml should I.

This is new to me. I can root, flash roms and recoveries like nothing but never got into themeing and coding. Slowly getting into it

Yep, You have no need to edit the XML files. Not to mention Im almost positive that UOT does some editing itself. but if you do what you said grab edit put back it will work, personally I dont edit XML's yet. but I am working on it.

I went through a significant amount of trial and error, but I think the Power Control came out nice looking.

Settings.apk:
Download Settings.apk from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

BTW, are we missing a GPS icon in the status bar?

Cool.

Let me know if you'd like me to edit any of the other icons for you. I have some decent image-editing software. Feel free to send them my way.

Actually 2 things can't do anything about the GPS right now but for some reason it won't show on mine either. Which is weird because usually it just show up green instead...also can't do the theme now because my gfs friend took my gfs computer... :(

update: the GPS will show up if you try to use something that uses it like maps also I went to locations and security and checked use wireless blah blah blah . Not sure if that has anything to do with it. But GPS only shows if you are usingg it

Cool. I see that it works just fine. Thanks for checking that out.

SystemUI.apk http://www.sendspace.com/file/qianym

I updated the theme adding in the triangle bars, but I'm not sure how nice it looks, it was a quick thing, and I havent even looked at it as though I have the purple one on my phone lol

UPDATE: not "too" bad but I need to make the idle bars a little bit darker and maybe fix the black in between each bar.. But it's in the above original link for the blue theme :)

The next fix on this theme I am going to take out the transparent drop down bar. make it solid. I doubt it but MAYBE get a transparent background :P

Thanks.

I went back to the stock SystemUI.apk and made all the edits from scratch.

So, I'm using your framework-res.apk with a SystemUI.apk and Settings.apk which I edited from stock.

I think I've settled on using the Power Controls widget from the market, because it has more options and seems to work a little better than the stock Power Control widget.

Keep up the good work.

Can someone post the following fonts. I overwrote them without backing up the stock ones and don't like the new one...

Clockopia.ttf
DroidSans.ttf
DroidSans-Bold.ttf

They are located in the /system/fonts
