If you love your Bionic, post here!

I too love this phone.

I was a little bummed about the camera not focusing right for me but after I loaded the Vignette Camera App it solved that.

Speed is great. I tested my 4g early this morning using Speedtest.net App and my fastest time so far was:

25526kbps Down & 4694kbps Up (thru Atlanta Server)

Battery concerned me, but shutting off Bluetooth doubled my battery life.

So I'm VERY COOL WITH IT NOW :p

- I had the OG Droid (original) btw

I am coming from a superannuated original droid and I am completely satisfied after a weekend of exercising and configuring this phone. I got it rooted so I can use titanium backup and a few other apps that require root. What I really miss is some of the advanced features to be found in the custom roms I'm used to using. Hopefully we won't have a long to wait for those to be available for us. At first glance I was shocked by the perceived enormity of the phone but that quickly passed and now I feel as if it were smaller than the droid which to me always felt bulky and thick. This form factor although slightly larger feels much more comfortable. And as an added bonus my wifi works perfectly at long last!

I love my phone, I could not ask for anything more (well I could). It went far beyond my expectations. I guess I was just reading into all the negative publicity people were trying to create before it was released. I can tell you that the majority of the negatives that people were stating before it was released were nonsense. Everything works flawlessly on my phone. There is only one hardware issue that I have and that is a dead pixel and that is just me looking very hard at trying to find something wrong with it.

Battery life is blown way out of proportion. I use my phone several times a day, have 3 email accounts auto synching, weather apps running in the back ground, I stay connected to 4G 24/7. I look at my phone right now I have been off the charger for 8 hours now and I still have 70% battery left (This is the stock battery and not the hi capacity battery).

Mine is amazing. The battery life is amazing (using the regular stock battery, not the extended). Haven't found any bugs.

My brother-in-law has the thunderbolt....the Bionic blows it out of the water.

I am not a Moto fan. Had the original Droid and 3 yes 3 different Droid Xs and wife and Droid 2. Got rid of Moto phones and purchased 2 yes 2 Thunderbolts and the Incredible 2 for my wife. Went by Verizon Saturday and looked at the Bionic and was impressed so I replaced one of my Thunderbolts not that I was unhappy with the TB and still have one. I really love Sense and not a fan of Moto Blur but am really impressed with what they have done with the Bionic and it is really, really fast even downloading apps in the Market and battery life has been really good. Think I love this thing.

I know there will always be better phones - but this is nice to have in my hand right now.

Heh - howdy, neighbor, I bought my DROID at the CostCo in Morrow, driving up from south of Macon....

And, I, too, upgraded from my OG DROID....

Oh wow so it was an even bigger jump for you. I at least had the Storm 2 lol.

i had the storm 2 as well. do you find it not the same antanea as the s2? i am in 3g area and where i had great service 3g i dont with this. i leave it on cdma only. 4g not strong enough.

Thank god the waiting is over!! I don't know what I would have done if we'd had to wait another month. I needed a serious new toy fix.

I too came from a BlackBerry, and the difference is tremendous, asides from the tons of applications, and the size of the screen, I owned the X2 for 3 weeks and I was happy but saw this and jumped on it.

Still no regrets, would do it again with no regrets, specially after discovering the app Qloud.

I'm extremely happy with mine. Coming from an OG Droid almost 2 years old, this thing just flat-out flies. My only real concern before purchasing was the PenTile screen, but honestly it hasn't bothered me at all. I'm also getting better battery life than my OG did, even when using 4G. It seemed to be draining quickly when I first got it on Thursday but I completely drained/fully charged it twice over the weekend and now it's doing great. Today I went 12+ hours without a charge, using 4G at work and WiFi at home, screen-on time over 3 hours, plus several hours of audio over BT with screen off (Stitcher/Google Music beta). To me that's more than acceptable battery life.

I feel bad for the folks that are having issues, but I really don't get the anti-Bionic vitriol that seems to have taken over the Droid blogs and forums. This thread cheered me up after wading through some of that negativity, so thanks!

So after using it since launch day, I'd have to say that I'm quite satisfied with this change from my BB. I especially LOVE Google Maps on this since I use it a lot in Manhattan. Google Maps for Android has a HUGE plus... compass utilization. It can get really confusing at times figuring out what direction you're facing so this is fantastic.

Plus, "Droid Bionic" looks sooo good in your Devices section there. ;)

This thread should be sticky'd because it helps bring hope to those who were tempted on the Bionic but then scared off by all these problems people have had.

I for one LOVE my Bionic and am very glad that I got rid of my TBolt for it. Sure, the TBolt has Sense and this phone has blur, but who cares? Have you seen the development speed on this phone?!

Anyway, here are some reasons why I will stick to my Bionic:
1. It has HDMI out. Plain and simple.
2. My phone has not randomly rebooted (very unlike my TBolt)
3. It doesn't have a stand blocking the speaker
4. It's got DDR2 RAM, which, combined with custom ROMs, will run laps around my TB
5. Disappearing apps? I think my phone came without that feature, sorry!
6. I got a sleek, sexy TPU case for $3 shipped (I was really going to miss my TB's case) ;)
7. The screen is best of the Droid screens I've seen (including the Charge, ick..) but I guess that's personal opinion
8. Sure, the Moto Camera App takes a while to focus at times, but I'm not takign a picture of a soccer game or anything so I can wait :)
9. It's got webtop output when commected to my TV, with bluetooth keyboard/mouse capability. Awesome!

I hope this thread becomes more popular as people realize what awesome technology is in their hands! :D

It's great to see some more enthusiasm and loyalty about the Bionic. ;)

But this is the sort of thread that can show its legitimacy by itself; to stick it at the top is to artificially give it legitimacy that may or may not be there.

If we see a lot of "bumps" coming along, with meaningless posts just to move it up, then it gets locked as an annoyance. If no bumps are needed, and participation with little topic drift keep it active, there you go. ;)

What's not to love? I came from the original DROID and this does everything it did and more, faster. Any problems i've had with this phone have been due to my own carelessness but nothing that couldn't be fixed thanks to this forum. Who could ask for more. Ok, an unlockled bootloader but that hasn't stopped the developers who make this awesome phone even more so.

Coming from a Storm 2, how could I possibly not love my Bionic? :) It was love at first 4G.

One thing that I'm noticing around several device sub-forums here are users of this or that Android, with their contract getting close to the end, who are posting asking for opinions on which new device to get, Bionic or wait for the Prime.

Bionic is here now. ;)

I thought about waiting, BRIEFLY, but once I saw the Bionic in person, I realized that I can live with this phone for the next couple of years, as it is speedy, has a nice screen, excellent call quality, and the speaker is loud and clear--all things that I was looking for. No need to wait for some possible incremental improvements via another future handset.

Well said! I will be happy with this phone for the next two years until my contract is up :)

I quoted that totally wrong, but you get the idea :P The reason I asked is because I was going to start this thread and then when I put the title of "So I actually love my phone..." this came up as a similar thread.

Thank goodness for related thread searches to keep from duplication haha!
