Root I'm curious: EVO 4g rom sizes MIKMIK vs cm7

My mikmik download was over 210 Mb... cm7 is 80+. A factor of almost 3 in footprint. What does the mik zip contain that cyanogen does not?

CM7 is an aosp rom just the basics and mikg 2.59 is a sense 2.1 and 3.0 mix. You could look at it as doss verses windows.

Im just saying in size. Maybe im showing my age ie doss 6.22 and windows 3.11 for work groups. Win ran on doss. LOL man im old.

CM7 being AOSP is pretty much base Android with some tweaks added. It's very lean, and very quick. In theory it's faster too because there is less ROM. With Mik's stuff, or any Sense based ROM, it contains HTC's overlay of the base android system. So there's more stuff going on. It will leave you with less internal storage, but most of it is optimized to still be very fast and battery friendly. I get about as good of battery life with MikG as I do with AOSP stuff. Try them both out and see for yourself!
