Root im having some difficulty

im having difficulty with unrevoked, i rooted my old evo,but it broke and i go a new evo 4g, it won't root with the new unrevoked, it said something like," is ur blank to new, i can't remember exactly, but all i know is that it won't root now, i downloaded the driver by the way, pls help, ty in advance
