On Verizon alone, that are about 25 of them, some of them in Mint New Condition

I just went through a three hour ordeal at Costco, but the end result is that I have a 64gb Note 5 on its way to me. They have to direct ship it to my house and it wasn't even an option that was mentioned the other times I asked. However, there was a new girl there who let it slip and so I'm good to go. They had 32gb Note 5s in stock but I know that even 64gb isn't enough for me so 32gb wasn't even a consideration.I've tried finding a Note 5 to replace my phone with, but everyone is out of stock. So I'll be keeping the 7 until I'm forced to stop using it or another Note phone is made available. What's interesting is I haven't heard any other reports of Note 7s going up in flames even though there are supposedly about a million devices still out there. Could be whatever the failure point was (which Samsung still hasn't been able to determine oddly enough) shows itself very early on. That would mean any remaining phones that have been used for weeks are okay. I also question if this has something to do with a virus. Perhaps something in a rarely downloaded app that gets the phone to overheat. That might explain the difficultly in identifying the cause and the way the phones have flamed out in a variety of situations. There have been a couple recent reports of S7s going up in flames now too which points again at a virus.
So you're not planning on taking any flights at the moment then, and your carrier hasn't blacklisted it yet?
Yeah... But...Just returning mine today.. love the phone so much..sorta depressed over giving it back..
Yeah... But...
At Least Now You'll Die Of Natural Causes..
How much personal liability are you folks that are keeping this Ticking Timebomb carrying?
Will your life insurance pay your survivors.. should this Note 7 take you out? Blind or scorch you?
When they investigate, and find out your injuries or death were the result of you hanging on to a recalled cellphone.. your polices will be considered "Null & Void".. Ain't No Phone That Pretty..
Need an S-Pen? Get a LG Stylo 2 Plus.. 5.7 inch screen $149.99.. Done.
And they're safe too!
Talk about hyperbole. For gosh sake, please just don't do anything even more dangerous. Like, don't get in your car and drive anywhere. Heavens no.
I have to ask, would you get in a car and continue to drive if it had been recalled because brakes might not work or the accelerator could stick down?
Something like this...

I've Never Seen Anything Like This...I'm keeping my Note7. Hardly any replacement Note7s have had issues and most of those that did only started smoking and didn't even catch fire.
Phandroid and various news sites act like carrying the Note7 is a crime but Samsung / T-Mobile don't reflect any sense of urgency. The only thing I got from T-Mobile is 2 text messages saying that the Note7 has been recalled and to bring it into a store.
With the original Note7, Samsung / T-Mobile forced a software update that caused a message to frequently pop-up saying that the phone is unsafe and to return it. They didn't do anything with the replacement Note7. When they do I'll reconsider returning it.

Why assume either one?So you're not planning on taking any flights at the moment then, and your carrier hasn't blacklisted it yet?
You should not leave home ever if you have that attitude! Just crossing the street is more of a risk than this phone catching fire. Then you throw in the time factor, in my case about a month more of use, and that risk goes down even more. Thank you so much, I got this!Yeah... But...

You are truly exaggerating! Good Lord!I Hate To Say It.. But,
You can't see the forest for the trees.. You are so blinded by a telephone.. whether it's looks or bragging or whatever.. that you can't see the inherent danger you are not only posing for yourself.. but for other humans around you..
For a FACTORY RECALLED PHONE! WARNING YOU IT CAN EXPLODE!!!
Really..?
You love it that much..... My suggestion is.. you need to "Re-Think" your (and anyone around you when you risk using this thing) position.. You claimed keeping the battery "Drained" will reduce the risk of explosion.. How ya going to use a phone if it always drained for safety.. are you going to figure a way to keep it @ 2% so you can make calls?
Here in the U.S.A.. it's banned on ALL public transportation.. you are now like a criminal.. if people spot you using it, they are going to jump you and take it away from you.. then Report You to the Law..
Dude.. just let it go.
This has truly been a rough ride! It'd be nice if you could take the phone in and have another battery put in, then have it sealed up again, but that's not an option as Samsung nor the CPSC have figured out just what the problem is yet. You can do that with a recalled car or some other product, not in this case. I personally don't have any problem with anybody taking their time deciding what phone to go to next. Assuming that you're going to ignore fight bans and put yourself or others in danger just because you still have the phone is a pretty ignorant position to take. Some intend to keep them forever and I like to think they've thought through the risk scenarios that need to be nullified in order to not put anyone else at risk. Some seem to believe there are no other options than to give up the phone immediately (not meaning you). Unfortunately they are wrong. Mine will go back when the device I'm interested in is released next month and not a day before! No amount of 'sky is falling' histrionics is going to change my mind! Now, if the recall became mandatory...I was going to get the Note 7, glad I didn't now but it's a damn shame!
On A recent Thomas Cook flight they prohibited the use of the Note 7, it must be turned off, but it wasn't banned, hmmmmmm.
As the Note 5 wasn't released here in the UK then it's likely I will hold on to my Note 4 until news of the next Note
