I'm pretty amazed

Didn't think I'd say it so soon but I don't miss my connect... Root or not.

I'm getting used to the screen already. This little thing is Damn smooth. Battery life leaves the connect in the dust. Most metro bloat is removable this time around, most of the stuff that isn't, you can disable. The last few items I hid with holo launcher,

I'll take the faster phone with far better battery life (without an extended brick /having to turn off 4g/underclocking) over the better screen any day of the week.

Besides, transformers dark side of the moon actually played quite smooth :D

Edit : not to mention I can finally get away from gingerbread. Having jelly bean on my nexus 7 made my phone feel so ancient. ICS is good enough for now lol.

I agree 100%. I'm coming off the LG Esteem and while I love the Esteem this phone rocks. Plus I'm lovin the fact that I paid so little for this phone. When I got the Galaxy Indulge I felt a little ripped off but I had just left ATT so I figured at least the phone will pay for itself with monthly savings. When I got the Esteem for $299 with $100 rebate I felt redeemed from the Indulge ripoff, I got a good solid phone at a good price. But with this phone I feel like I got away with something lol. I'm having extra fun cause I'm driving it like I stole it. I switched to the $55 unlimited plan and thinking about cancelling the insurance ($39 deductible for the Motion btw).

I wouldn't cancel insurance....I think there is a way to insert root into the firmware, just need to ask some people that have done it before, it is very risky because it can potentially hard brick your phone, meaning good thing to have insurance in that case...

Absolutely loving it so far. ICS is great and a surefire cure for Gingerbread boredom lol. I had the iPhone 3GS and the Samsung Indulge prior to the Esteem so I'm no stranger to 3.5" screens.

It's pretty good phone I just purchase mines last night can't wait to get that little bad boy and see Wat I could bring to this phone themes only lol

Yeah the screen "downside" just goes away. It's a beast phone and I must say -- battery is awesome if you the average user....

I can't WAIT til I upgrade on Friday to the Motion. After nearly a year and a half of using the Optimus M and dealing with the...shall we say, painful browsing experience of Metro's 1x speeds and "3G" (that in my area is barely as fast as dialup), I am STOKED that I'll finally have a good phone!

I just hope there are no glitches, bugs, etc. like the Optimus had (constant reboot), the Connect (overheating), etc.

from what people are saying about it you're gonna fall in love.

im sticking with my connect. not because i think the connect is a superior phone but because i dont see the need to pay for a new phone then pay for another new phone in a month or two.

im geared up for the s3 but this little sucker seems like a straight killer in all aspects. this phone should be metro's flagship until the S3 hits.

+1

Agreed. Gingerbread is good, but Nexus 7 is better, and it takes up too much brain space to remember 2.3 .3.1 & 4.1

I'm thinking its going to be a great combination to have a smaller phone, that hotspots to a Nexus 7.

Idk, I feel okay about replacing my connect. My wife put the connect on eBay its at 232.50 with 7 hours to go. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=261088806868&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=11552743666

I would too if could get my connect to pay for my motion.

I might just try putting my connect up on ebay with the extended batteries i have.

I've also been trying to sell my itouch.

Don't feel bad. I bought the indulge too. I may have only paid 175 for it, but I still felt ripped off. Hell I would've felt jipped even had I only paid $20 for the indulge :banghead:
