From what I can tell, no. The Huawei, from everything I can find, was a GSM phone only; there was no CDMA variant. The Triumph is also a little bit shorter than the Huawei and has the 8655 Snapdragon instead of the 8255. Last (and not least) they were released within about a month of each other. Yes, the Huawei was released first, in June of 2011, but it was nowhere close to "end of life" in July of 2011, when the Triumph was released.
I'll agree that the two phones are very similar -- to the point that Motorola may have copied the Huawei -- but they are not identical -- especially with the difference between the cell radios (GSM vs. CDMA).

incorrect. they even use the same battery. the triumph is a piece of huawei scraps.
I'm gonna agree with you. GSM arena shows that they are different sizes, however whenever I bought Huawei accessories for my Triumph they would fit perfectly (hard case, battery, and screen protector)
Has anyone had this problem? My phone has been activated and paid for, yet I cannot make any calls/send texts/mms/use 3g/4g. Tech wasn't able to resolve the issue. Clear didn't help either. Signal is erratic.
I have correctly done everything in Leslie's guide.

Return the phone, buy an unlocked Galaxy Nexus and come over to T-Mobile ($30 for 100 talk, unlimited data -- 5GB before throttle) or Straight Talk ($45 Unlimited talk and data -- 2GB before throttle).

thanks didnt know they were just regional.sometimes i forget that for whatever reason carriers love my home market and i just assume they are everywhere.i even have a local one that has unlimited everything for $50(pre paid) but cant find out that much info about them.maybe i will give them a call to find out more about them

Been seriously considering it.
This phone is really nice, but VM signal in my area is unstable & spotty. That reduces the phone to "sometimes" nice.
Yes, I had a Evo V for a couple of weeks. I never had problems with the phone and liked it, but it was the unstable service and slow connection speeds that made me decide to return my Evo and switch.
I have to say, even though I liked the Evo (and didn't have the problems others here have), I like the Nexus (and the service) even better. Not to mention, Jellybean made a good phone even better.

I just did this not long ago. I couldn't possibly be happier. 7.5 down 3 up at a local mall that isn't even a major one! Awesome stuff. T-Mobile's texts also send and receive faster, probably due to the GSM nature of the network.

Now that my phone is fixed, and running smoothly, with no shortage error,
I'll stay on the "light side" with my extra 200 minutes, and my $5 phone insurance. You get 2.5gb more highspeed data (4g) and both are unlimited 3g (I'm on wifi most of the time and haven't came close to 2.5gb) but for me its a deal breaker to not have insurance. Totally why I went with this phone. I looked up what it cost to fix a Nexus screen, and its $189 at a local store here where I live. ( What if something else internally was messed up when you dropped the phone and cracked the screen? I have broken a phone even with a really good case. Otter box, Trident.) Not to mention a total loss, i.e. lost, or stolen and even water damage.
Then your looking at another $350 bucks vs a $100 dollar deductible for anything that happens to the Evo. Don't get me wrong, I love the Nexus, but I just don't have that kind of cash to be dropping on a device if anything happens to my phone cause its bad enough I have to drop $100 bucks for the deductible in case something goes wrong. Enjoy your Nexus, guys/gals just make sure to be very gentle with that phone and keep that thing away from water.

Looked into that and that's $125 bucks for 2 years which is basically paying your insurance 2 years ( the one year is 70 bucks so vs the 2 year your paying an extra $7.50 or $15 for 2 years if you have your phone more then a year) in advance at $5.20 a month. I used them for my $200 dollar headphones I bought from amazon and they where a pain to deal with. Not that it's a bad idea but if you went through the hoops I went through you wouldn't use them like me. I can't be waiting around for someone to fix my phone cause that's their first thing they do. Then if they can't fix it you get a new device so your waiting for them to fix it. Again what if something else internally is wrong? Bottom line I don't have $450 (for the phone, 1 year plan, and first months service"$30 dollar T-mobile plan") $505 (for the phone the 2 year plan and first months service"30 dollar T-mobile plan") and the price goes up if you go with Straight talk. They did end up fixing my head phones 2 weeks later but I can't go that long without a phone. I would use them for other products just not phones. Asurion is way to fast getting a phone out and they are way easier to deal with.
Edit: I paid around $340 for the Evo, a months service, and insurance. It would have been nice if Squaretrade did month to month instead of all up front.

I heard back from immix today.they won't have ltd for 8-12 months.she told me they are also getting hspa+ I guess because they currently don't have 3g.I also asked about why the plans say unlimited data yet their site says unlimited internet is $20 and she said they are the same thing.I was just assuming you had to add that fee to the new plans but I guess you don't.
I'm sure they will raise their price when ltd and hspa+ launch but for now if I wanted I could get a nexus for $220 or s2 for 150 and do their unlimited local plan for $20+ taxes and fees on edge or their nationwide for $40
