Improved Camera (is it possible)?

Is there an application or modification that can be installed or performed to amplify the camera to better quality (compared to the stock quality)
 
IMHO, the stock camera is pretty darn good... I've tried many camera apps, and the stock app it came with is hard to beat - but I do like Camera Zoom FX... not for all the add-ons per se, but for the quality of the camera and its features.

Paper camera is pretty nice too.
 
There's actually a second camera on the esteems. The stock app you see in your app drawer, and a "hidden" camera that's not listed.

It is possible to use this camera. Its automatically placed on adw, but for those using others (idk if its placed on others) you can dl anycut and make a custom shortcut to it

What's it listed as in Any Cut? All I could find was the standard camera.

nvm - I found it under "Native Camera"... picture quality seems horrible compared to the regular camera tho... but it could be just me.

alot of phones are coming out w/o a camera button now, so I'd expect that to be a thing of the past. ;)
 
wuz up, Im using GO LAUNCHER and it uses the hidden camera with all the avail. settings which is 3 times what the stock one has..works great!

the GO series of apps seems to be working great, excellent for FREE!

What's the name of the cam ?
 
The hidden camera is called "Native Camera" when found in Any Cut, and is similar to the stock camera on the Optimus w/ 2.2... compared to the factory stock camera on the Esteem, it's picture quality is horrible - grainy as a bag of cornmeal with sand in it.
The GO launcher may use camera software that is better than the native cam sw, but idk... I haven't tried it.
