Help Incoming message vibrating while I'm on phone

I got a replacement DINC2. One feature I loved about the DINC2 over the orginal is that when I am talking on the phone and I get a text, the DINC2 gave a soft tone while my old DINC1 vibrated loudly (so loudly that the person on the other end could hear it).

With my replacement, it is back to the DINC1-type behavior, vibrating loudly while I am trying to talk.

I've changed some settings but it either doesn't vibrate at all OR it vibrates even while I'm in a call. I can't seem to get it where I want it: vibrating when on silent BUT when I am in call, giving the audible notification rather than vibrating.

Any tips?

Is there ANY way to go back to an audible in-call alert for an incoming message rather than vibration?

Nevermind. I found it.

For anyone else who winds up with this issue: Menu -> Settings -> Sound -> under sound settings, uncheck the Vibrate button.

I am having a similar issue with sending text messages, I want it to send me a delivery report that shows a received status in the notification bar, it used to just show it silently, but now it is making a sound notification just like an incoming text when it gives the received status. I have messed with the settings and can't seem to make it stop.
Only thing I can think of that might have caused this strange behavior is that I downloaded and tried handcent, loved the popup though the lockscreen, hatred the ads in the settings, they should make a paid version without the ads, so I uninstalled.

I would like to thank you for posting the answer to your original question. Too many people who end up figuring these things out on their own before an answer is posted just post "nevermind, got it." And that helps nobody else in the community.

I have the same problem that has yet to be resolved what did you do to make it silent the first time? I've tried practically every option in the settings and I cant seem to do it.
