Incredible 2 battery and battery door

Long story short, Verizon is sending me an Incredible 2 to replace my Incredible 1. The phone is arriving tomorrow. However, the Verizon rep I spoke with could not source me a new battery and back door. Does anyone know where I could find an OEM battery and door for an Inc2 in short order. I am in Boston. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Amazon, ebay, Best Buy, Verizon Store, Radio Shack, a local electronics chain? I can think of half a dozen places off the top of my head. The phone should come with a battery and battery door though right?

Typically, yes, the phone would come with a battery and door. However, Verizon can't source one for me at this time, and can't guarantee that one will be available to me within the 5 days I have to return my existing phone. I've called around to multiple V stores, but have had no luck. I think I have found a battery, but no luck on the door yet.

I still don't understand. They don't sell phones and batteries separate any more than Ford would sell you a car, but not be able to locate tires for it. I've gotten refurbs before. They've all come with batteries.

That seems very odd to me. Verizon recently replaced my Dinc with a 2 and it was brand spanking new. Battery, charger, SD card, and of course the door. Seems to me if they can't replace your current complete phone with a complete phone, you would at least have 5 days from the day you get the last required part to return your phone.

When Verizon replaced my Inc with the Inc 2, they sent me a refurb and the regular batteries & doors were out of stock, so they had to send me the extended battery & cover. I think usually when it's a refurb the pieces come seperately like that. You could try calling them and tell them that without the battery and door the phone is useless and that you want the extended ones.

+1

I guess they have accumulated enough return Dinc2's to start sending out refurbs.

I found these on Amazon...

V actually sent the phone with a door, but no battery and no SD card, which I knew. The phone itself was not marked as if it were a refurb (which I have seen in the past). On closer inspection, there were no marks outside, on the screen, or inside, including on the battery connections. It appears to be a new phone. Who knows. All I care about is that it works, and it is.

I assure you it's a referb even though there are no marks indicating this. My wife recently had to have her's replace because it would not charge the battery. All three reps at our V-store said Verizon does not send out new phones as replacements. And the replacements never come with a battery or SD card.
