Still in wait and see mode on this. Will wait 2-3 weeks after launch to see reviews on here along with battery life and performance issues. I want a 4G phone with ICS and a 4" to 4.3" screen with good battery life without switching from Verizon and unlimited data. Anything else rumored to be out there that I'm not aware of?

I'm now wondering if they are waiting for a Memorial day launch now. Just to quiet about it right now.

Just a hunch, but I have a feeling that Verizon will release it the day after the double the data promotion ends at the beginning of June.

Hey, don't hate on the messenger, but we've seen this before with them.

Is anyone else disappointed in the display? super lcd qHD display. I am going to need to wait till this hits stores so I can go in and compare this display to my original incredible amoled display. I'm concerned that it won't be as crisp and clear, especially the text on webpages.

I'm also curious how good the camera will be.

Yea really wondering about the display. Don't care to much about the camera. I have both a SLR and DSLR to handle that hobby.

I can tell you that the SLCD screen on my Inc2 is excellent. Since the resolution of the screen on the Inc4G is higher than that of my Inc2, I have zero concerns.

I have the original Inc and i'm not concerned. 252ppi vs 275ppi.

why not a razr maxx?

I'm curious why people are so concerned with the screen, comparing it to this phone and that phone.

Its not like they'll be carrying both phones to compare at the same time EVAR.

Exactly right. It's the same argument voiced about megapixels and digital cameras. If you are not going to view the photo as a mural then the larger megapixels are unnecessary. Unless of course you like to zoom in and investigate. I like the screen on my og dinc. It does great and the new dinc 4g I'm sure will be equally satisfying. It's 4 inches not 4 feet.

I think overall the 4g screen will be a nicer experience than the OG Incredible screen. You get more pixels (960x540 vs 800x480) to help with the extra real estate, and it's not a pentile screen. Most of the time I was thrilled w/ the OG incredible display, but every so often my eyes would focus on the fuzziness of the text due to the pentile display technology.

As beautiful as the AMOLED screen is, the colors are a little unrealistic. When I took photos with my phone, the colors looked great on the device, but the same pics looked dull on my PC's LCD monitor. I think the DInc 4g screen will look great on its own and will better match your other computing experiences (pc, tablet, etc.) Text should be fairly sharp and colors a little less saturated but still bright and more realistic.

FYI, saw this last night on the Inc 4g camera ..
HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE Hands On Video
hope this works. It answered a couple of my questions but still gotta see it !
Looked at the Rezound again and inquired about a release date for 4g, it's on their system as announcement of but no price or release date...well okay then.

Also, how do you review a phone you've never seen? That's ludicrous right there.

H8rs gonna h8, blindly. I read that article and thought "fruit" fanboy. But it did make me rethink. Waiting just to wait is just going to mean more waiting, and I'm tired of waiting. I remember the look on my brothers face when he saw my og incredible about a month after I got it. (launch day). "is that the incredible?"he asked as his drool hit the floor. "Could I see it?" I know how I felt during that exchange. When he got his upgrade about five months later, he too got a dinc implant. I do still love this phone, and if I'm not WOW'd on launch day, I COULD wait. But I don't believe I WILL wait.

I am relatively certain this is not the perfect phone since that phone doesn't exist. It just seems bizarre to me to write a review on a phone that you've never even seen in person. It's like me telling you to avoid the 2012 Ford Taurus because it handles poorly and the engine noise is very loud. I've never driven one or even seen one in real life, but you should avoid it.

So will this led screen be easier to read in sunlight? I know my AMOLED screen is hard to see in bright sun.

There are lots of people (some are on this forum) that like to call a new release a fail just on specs alone.

I never understood those people and never will. It's all about performance. If the phone can run like a dream on a single core and 256 mb of ram, what do I care? I'd rather have that than a quad core processor, 2 gb of ram and the thing runs like a dog because it's not programmed properly. That's just me though.
