Yeah, I'm not one of those people who are turned off by the phone because of the screen type and resolution. I really would've been sold if it was a 4.3" phone, though. I tend to use the web more than apps and would've liked that size of a screen for that purpose. Couple that with the fact I'm not exactly feeling forced to move from my original Incredible leads me to sitting on the fence a little while longer. The 4G and having the home screen actually turn to landscape orientation are really the only things that are tempting me to get the Incredible 4G!

I'm irrationally attracted to this phone. Like the Dinc2, i think it will be more than the sum of its parts. Since work pays for my service, I'm thinking about picking it up off contract if its +/- $500. I have a galaxy tab for my gaming needs, but would obviously love LTE and ICS on my Dinc2. Looking forward to reviews, pricing and a release date!

This. The OG Dinc will continue to function for some people as long as there are apps available that will run on GB.

I run an alpha ICS build on my OG Inc. Few little bugs but otherwise, works well. This phone could easily function for a while for me. However, I think I might grab the 4G if Drew Carrey says TPIR.

I know this might affect some of your decisions but verizon just lowered the price of the rzrmaxx to $199. Now i have one to make..wait or just jump on the maxx...especially with my $100 off so the maxx would only be $99 for me

I actually bought the maxx last weekend, and paid $199 with my $100 off a 4g phone upgrade. Just talked to the store and they told me to stop in with my receipt and they will give me the extra $100 off. For $99 the maxx is an incredible phone. If you want a 4.3 inch display with insane battery life the maxx is a great option. All we need is ICS, and hopefully that is right around the corner.

Best Buy usually sells the phone with the rebate "built-in" ex: $199 with a $50 mail-in debit card rebate at Verizon vs. $149 at Best Buy out the door. Hope that helps!! :)

I was going to say im doubting a May 17th release, but that link says the offer is good through May 27th, so it wouldnt make sense to release it afterward, or on the 24th with 3 days before the offer ends.

I did receive an email from a Verizon corporate rep stating that it would be in stores on the 17th, I am really crossing my fingers for that since I am going on vacation the 18th and it would be awesome to have the phone in tow.

I'm honest, I buy a new phone cause I want a new toy, not cause my old one is "obsolete". You see a lot of phones in my profile cause I have a family plan with five lines.........all Android phones.

At least I now know we are the same.

The guy could have had no idea what he was talking about. A lot of people were told release dates, like that one binaryhat guy. Or it could be delayed (AGAIN)

We should see an announcement tomorrow if it's to be released Thursday.

Well the Verizon rep I received the email from runs large corporate business accounts, not just a guy selling phones out of a corporate store. I, however, don't know if they would be accurate or not, I am hoping for yes though. Tomorrow better bring good news!

"Take this for what it's worth, but I was just in a local Verizon store getting a new screen protector for my Thunderbolt and talking to the salesman about how much we like HTC phones. I asked about the Incredible 4G, and he asked me if I was going to upgrade. I asked when it might be coming out, and he said he was just talking to his Verizon rep earlier that day, and that it would be available "soon - very soon". I casually asked if I should come back Thursday, and he just said "yup" without making eye contact..."
But there was no announcement today. Does Verizon ever announce phones the day before? I think we would have heard of something by now if its to be released in 2 days, but who knows. Hoping for an announcement tomorrow, if not, then I guess the wait is extended by two weeks again. Or one. Who knows?

I am unsure if they ever advertise a phone a day prior but I will take this shred of evidence as hope for a release this week. It could certainly still be possible
