So we know for sure now that it will be under 200$, based on Verizons pricing of the Galaxy S3....
I am also considering the Galaxy s3, I'll have to ask the VZW store if there is a model i can hold in hand to see how it feels. That cord in the back that keeps them connected to the display holders makes it hard to figure out how it will feel in hand. One thing I must say though is that the Dinc2 just felt perfect in hand, while the Nexus felt very awkward to hold.
I will see on June 21st when the S3 comes out. So now its unlikely that it'll release on the 21st because thats when the S3 is launching and thats a big launch. It looks like if all goes to plan we should DEFINITELY see this phone in the next two weeks(possibly in 3 days!), unless for some insane reason Verizon delays this phone again. I really REALLY hope it doesnt become another Bionic. If not this thursday, I'm optimistically betting for the 14th!
Also, for all those thinking that VZW is holding off on releasing any phones til the shared data plans come out, you were wrong!
Seriously dont just upgrade now because you're afraid of losing unlimited data, it probably wont take effect til late July or August and they'll announce it in advance.

at this point the only reason i could come up with for them delaying it any further is to give proper attention to their "droid does" campaign, which they obviously love, since that is where the droid incredible is being lumped into. maybe its release will sync up around the time of a droid razr hd announcement to keep the focus on the new line of droids. although i would rather the phone just come out already...

That would be really annoying if they did that, but it might be true. A member on XDA says he handled the phone on April 6th and there were about 40 other ones that all had finalized hardware and software. Its now two months later and no phone. So there must be a reason why they're not releasing this phone.
If its not out by June 21st and I like the S3, i'll just get the S3 then. If the Dinc4g out on the 14th, I may wait til the S3 comes out and check them out both in person.

So i went to the VZW store today because my mom had to ask about something, and while i was there i figured id ask about the dinc4g and the rep said he thinks it should be up for pre order to tomorrow and should arrive by the end of the month.

Sure, the S3 is a ginormous phone, but I think with the specs it has, it'll see updates for a while. (2gb ram, 1.5 ghz, really!)

Even if I can't get it till the end of the month. If it is available for Pre-Order at least I know I can at least get it! I am just hoping to be able to get it or order it before Fathers Day. My wife needs a gift idea for me...

You must have had a more informed rep than I encountered. I was in a Verizon store two days ago and the sales rep had never even heard of this phone. He kept insisting the Incredibles were 3G only and weren't LTE. I had to actually pull up a youtube vid of a hands-on with the device to show him what I was talking about.
I was really looking forward to this phone, but I'm starting to get really bad Thunderbolt and Bionic vibes about it. Even when it does come out, I'm going to wait a few weeks to make sure it's not a huge buggy dud.

Whelp, either way guys im getting a new phone June 21st. Whether its the S3 or the Incredible4g I'll have to see. The Incredible design wise looks a lot better to me which is a plus, and no pentile display. It feels good knowing either way I'll have a new phone by the end of the month, even if Verizon hasnt learned and turns this into another Bionic situation.

Last I heard the testing was going on mid to late may. This article has nothing new in fact says release date should be soon.
This has nothing bad for incredible 4g
Also, grandfathered unlimited data may not go away with tiered share data. That we shall see.
Hopefully next week I order my phone.

It says by the end of the month. Thats what we heard last month. May as well get delayed again. And it will go away with shared data plans, Verizon have stated this themselves.
I mean if your one of the people who have been waiting for this phone for months and your told you have to wait another month and possibly longer, yes its bad news.
Read it again. He speculated an announcement any day, that it wouldn't be delayed again, and that it.might not be by end.of.month.
Basically the article says NOTHING new. I feel like it says both soon and later making for an I told you so no matter when.it releases
As for grandfathered plans, verizon has stated a few times in the past that they might go away but everytime kept them. I was told it is not for sure grandfathered plans would be gone.
Anyway, I read the article multiple times and nowhere does he say it won't be soon.

The new thing he says to me is that it is still being tested and not to expect it this Thursday. Also on the grandfathered plans, VZW stated this time it will go away. Didnt a sales rep from your store tell you they wont go away? They know little to nothing and are not actively kept up to date.
Also, he speculated an announcement any day. Do you know how long we've been expecting an announcement any day? Probably since late April.
How often does Verizon make n announcement when still in testing? How often is preorder or release not within days of the announcement?
I will say I was told the phone showed in testing in may but I do be live that testing complete. The grandfathering information did not come from just a store rep.
Anyway, with all said. Release within 10 days seems likely. Nothing in that article makes it less.likely.

I still don't understand why they even bother announcing a phone if it's not fully tested yet. Makes zero sense.

I get the sense that either there were some last minute problems, or they are using "testing" as an excuse to delay it.

I don't see Verizon delaying this for nothing, especially with the GS3 being priced for $199. The original rumors for this phone were $199 w/ $50 MIR, but the GS3 killed that. If they could have had it out already, they would have. Now they had to drop MAP to "compete".

Im pretty sure it still is 199$ w/ 50$ mail in rebate though...? Which comes out to 149$. The rumored price for this phone was always 99$ to 149$ since mid April.
Or maybe the customs issue forced a software revision that needed to be tested.
Also, there is no evidence that I4g is currently in testing. It was in May.
Anyway, price is out..... would be shocked if release isnt within 9 days.
