The power button is on the right side (looking at the front). What you're seeing on the left side is a piece of tape. When we've seen testers leak their phones, there's usually a label in the upper left corner, that shows which test phone it is (designation). So he probably covered that so they wouldn't be able to tell who's showing off the phone on YouTube. Also, if you notice when he shows the About Phone section, he covers anything that could identify himself, pretty smart. I know some people got in some hot water leaking the Rezound last year, so not a bad idea to cover your rear.
Yeah i noticed that the second time watching it. Do you think that HTC logo is part of the final design or that its just for the testing models? I hope they dont keep it lol

This phone is going to bomb, AT FIRST, but once it moves into the $1 or $.01 pricemark that the Incredible 2 now occupies in a few months, it will sell really well.

My friend from Best Buy tells me that that's how most people choose their phone in their stores...they scan that $1 phones and pick one.

Hmmm...but maybe it will compete with the Razr and Nexus in that pricerange, so it might still be at a disadvantage. HTC is in more trouble, me thinks.

The Rezound has that also so I'd guess that will be on the final product. I don't mind it, I'd rather have that than the Verizon logo on the front.

I disagree. Many many people are looking for a reasonably sized high end smartphone with a nice design, and this is it. I have decided I will not be getting the S3 and will be buying the Dinc4g on launch day (after I check it out in store first) because I really need something very light and portable. The GS3 is just too big and ugly. This phone will sell insanely well once the price drops, but I'm not willing to wait that long. I'll be able to get this phone for only 100$ (possibly cheaper even) and that to me sounds like a great price for this phone. It has everything I really need/want.

If the GS3 had a 4.5" or a 4.3", then the Dinc4G would probably bomb. Fortunately (for this phone), it has a 4.8" screen which is way too large for some people. A phone is still usable at that size, but its just very large and awkward to pull out and carry around. I occassionally wear basketball shorts, how in the world would I fit a GS3 in one of my pockets??

This phone will sell GREAT. Its the most well balanced phone that will be available on VZW. The only way it wouldnt sell good if its delayed yet again.

Not sure where you are getting this figure "many people", but check any post on any android blog when this phone is mentioned and 99.9% of the feedback is negative.

Also, there are about 10 people posting in this forum. Does 10 = many people?

I wanted this phone (and still might get one) but HTC is dying a slow death in front of us. They had a terrible 2011, said they were going to rebrand under the One line and then released about a half a dozen phones that got stuck at the border, screwed up this release, etc.

Also, their phones come with the smallest batteries in the industry now. Not sure how they are going to recover from this... sad, but the writing is on the wall.

Everyone you see on Android sites are spec hunters. This phone will appeal to the average consumer. Theres plenty of people looking for a reasonably sized high end (or high midrange) smartphone. This phone has a decent sized battery considering it has an S4 processor which should give it amazing battery life. Where do you figure half a dozen phones by the way? The HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE, which I might add both have amazing battery life.

Have you noticed the iPhone gets a lot of negative feedback on many sites? Yet the iPhone occupies 40% of the smartphone market. A lot of that 40% doesnt go on Android sites, like a lot of the average consumers dont go on tech sites and follow new Android phones. Even if they do, they dont always express their opinion on the comments section.

Also, HTC is dying a very slow death with their amazing and critically acclaimed One X. Yessir, I don't see them lasting much longer with their high quality build phones that sold very well.

...In other words you have no idea what you're talking about.

Don't forget the evo. It's doing alright too. Ummmmm yeah HTC makes that one too. I'm sure if htc was "goin down", the fruit wouldn't be blocking their products at the border.

There are already reports of the One X sale problems worldwide, and this border thing is killing them here.

In comparison, the Galaxy S3 has 9 million preordered already! Htc won't sell 9 million phones TOTAL this year (check their financials last year, which was a BAD year).

I get it that you're an HTC fanboy but your posts aren't based in reality.

Releasing a "flagship" 4G phone on a network that doesn't even have 4G service anywhere yet...Good one, HTC!

And they forgot to keep the "one" branding! Meanwhile, Samsung and Apple releases the same phone on 6 different carriers in the USA (#1 and #2).

They need to fire their bonehead CEO.

How can I be an HTC fanboy if I have never owned an HTC phone and am considering the GS3 as one of my options as well?
Also just because theyre not selling as much as Apple or Samsung doesnt mean theyre going to have a bad year.

It is possible to be a fan boy based on anticipation or reputation.

He said the financials last year were bad, if true, this years problems will make it worse.

I am an HTC fan boy and I no longer own am HTC phone. Had the incredible 4g come out earlier, I would own it. Instead just bought 2 Nexus ($20 total).

Haha really? And you were the biggest advocate in here I thought. Well, welcome to the GNex family ;)

@all
Regarding the HTC conversation, debating the quality of phones, sales forecast etc. is always encouraged. But personal accusations and attacks are not. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and should feel no pressure to keep it to themselves for fear of being ridiculed. Let's remember that, OK? Thanks. :)

I am an HTC fan boy, so you are dead on saying I was big advocate. Hate Motorola and did not like Samsung. Love smaller phone. However the price was so right and I was ready to get new phone all prepared for vacation soon.

This phone is too big but runs so well. Its a keeper.

I'm right there with you. My homescreen is as close to sense as I could get it. Although for me, bigger is better, that HTC note competitor rumor had me drooling. :)

To the bigger is better crowd...I don't mind that idea at all until it comes to screen quality. I want one that does well in sunlight. My Dinc1 does okay. The Rezound is useless. I've read where the SG3 isn't good. This is a big advantage in the Dinc 4G's corner for me.

My Galaxy Nexus has the same screen as the S3 and it does just fine in full sunlight IMO.

The screen on the Nexus is far from my favorite, but usability in sunlight is important. I owned the LG Lucid for about a week and that screen was amazing outside. The battery was terrible on it though, thus my anticipation for a device with the Qualcomm S3 chip.

It's interesting that the Galaxy SIII is prominently displayed on the Verizon Wireless smart phone page as being available for pre-order but the Incredible 4g is nowhere to be seen.

Especially since the SIII is RUMORED to be out on the 28th....while the Incredible is RUMORED to be out on the 21st, a week earlier than the SIII!

Yeah, logic and Verizon phone launches have as much in common as a fish and a bicycle.

That seems odd. Most people say the LCD screens are easier to see in sunlight than the AMOLED screens.

I haven't done a side by side but I think my Rezound is a slight improvement, and would be even better if weren't for the lousy screen protector I have on it.

My Dinc does have the lcd screen and my wife's rezound does have a crappy screen protector on it (bought and installed at tveizon).

I personally can't stand AMOLED because the white looks blue and all the colors look neon :(
