i changed my mind, im not getting this phone, i will get the galaxy nexus or wait for the new nexus, i think a pure google phone is the way to go, since it gets all the updates first

One thing these smartphones have shown me is updates are not the end all be all. IMHO. If my device needs an update to fix a glitch in the system, fine with me. I'm all for it. But moving from ice cream sandwich to fluffy cotton candy just doesn't thrill me anymore. I want my experience to remain stable and dependable, do what it said it would do. If I need a change I'll root the phone before they force an over the air os upgrade. If this Inc4G is what I like then I'll go with it till I tire of it.

Look around carefully, you can find Galaxy Nexus for $50 (free if you have the $50 credit). I got mine free and I really like it. I hope inc4g comes out soon and it is awesome for all you who waited.

If the phone doesnt arrive this week or next, I'm going to get seriously concerned that the phone may be delayed indefinitely til possibly the end of the year

And verizon will put a big red circle/slash thingy through the phones picture on the new advertising banners. IMHO.

Maybe they are giving it a spec bump or making it thinner or something to keep up with the competition. When the ipad2 came out, Samsung went back to the drawing board to make the galaxy tab 10.1 even thinner.

Well that could be true..the version we have seen so far does not have the htc logo at the bottom and this.new one that has surfaced does..might be a way for them to tell the difference betwen the two

I doubt it. Theyd have to delay this phone til the end of the year to make hardware changes like that. Also since advertising posters are being sent out to stores, this is highly unlikely because all signs point to a release soon. But if it doesnt, itll most likely keep getting delayed and then once its October and Verizon realizes this phone is way overdue, they may then decide to make some hardware changes.

But the advertising posters for the phone that were sent out to stores over the weekend dont have the logo... I think it was just a way to mark testing devices or it was an earlier model.

Someone talk me out of the Galaxy S3, quick!! I do not want a Samsung, and I don't want AMOLED, but something is drawing me in (maybe the fact that it seems to exist).

Real simple... Go put on your favorite pair of jeans, head to the Verizon store (do this after the Galaxy 3 is released, of course), and see if you can tie your shoe laces with the Galaxy 3 in your pocket.

Basically, what's keeping me from getting the Galaxy 3 (and patiently waiting for the Inc 4g) is the screen size.

I'm waiting for ICS on my DINC 2 before jumping to the DINC 4g ... I'm in no hurry

oh!!! I'm in a time warp!!! This post was time stammped before the two after it which were already posted when I posted this....

For my next trick, I'm going to quote a post that came after this one

I was tempted to order one myself. My plan was to either sell it right after purchase, or use it to replace my ipod classic, but that's when I found out that when they said expandable memory was 64GB, they were counting a 32GB microsd card + the 32GB of internal memory (I thought they meant the SGS3 could handle a 64GB microsd card bringing the total to 96GB, since I have more than that in music & videos).

I decided to wait on the Inc4g. If Verizon honors their word of letting their customers know ahead of time when they're implementing the shared data, I shouldn't have a problem. But if they spring it on us only a few days ahead of time, I'll either go with a SGS3, Razr Maxx, or SGN & sell them to get the Inc4G at full price. That's my plan anyhow.

I believe you are correct sir. While the Rezound has the HTC logo in the same place as the leaked shots we've seen on the Inc4G, that doesn't mean that the Inc4G will have it at release. I remember seeing photos of tester phones of the OG Incredible, and they had the HTC logo where the Verizon logo ended up. It's very possible that the photos we've seen of the Inc4G are tester phones that will not have the logo at launch.

As far as them redesigning the phone or adding features (hardware) that would indeed push it back to the end of the year. Look how long the Thunderbolt was pushed back to add 4G LTE to it. When it was a 3G model, it was scheduled to release around Oct./Nov. of 2010. They retooled it to add LTE, and it released in March/April of 2011. That's roughly 5-6 months. The Bionic went a similar route after they discovered the issues with the Tegra chips & LTE. The revisions to the Galaxy Tab I don't believe were as extensive, and plus Samsung can handle their own hardware, while HTC & Moto are dependent on outside manufacturers to make that happen. I think what we've seen is what we're gonna get with the Inc4G, unless they plan to go the Bionic route, scrap it, and replace it with a true One series phone from HTC. But I don't think Verizon is ready to let the Incredible series die.

What they plan on doing with the Droid X series is another matter, since it's roughly the same as the Razr series except for LTE and removable battery & memory. If the Droid series continues it will end up being a Razr with a keyboard like the Droid 4 was, but I think the Droid X series is dead in the water.

Same here. The Sammy has some nice features including music out via usb, Wolfson DAC, face detection for turning off the screen, picture in picture, 29 frames per second vifeo recording, etc. Too bad the SG3 isnt an HTC phone with an lcd. That would be easy.

Well as I mentioned earlier, my Inc died on Sat. Well I found one locally on craigslist for $40. I can pick it up at 7 PM tonight. Tossed on getting it. Right now I have no phone, but if I pick it up, I know this Inc 4G will release right after I buy the Inc locally... oh the decisions...!!:(

I'd go for it. When you consider what it can do, $40 is pretty good, assuming it's not completely beat to hell and the screen is good. Plus, you might wanna keep a spare phone around in case something like this happens again. I always keep at least one spare data dependent phone in case my primary goes out to safeguard my unlimited data. Worst case I'm sure you could get at least that on eBay or one of those trade in places.

Just checked Verizon trade-in & Gazelle. Verizon was $26, Gazelle was (I used a middle of the road condition for everything) was $16. I'd still bet you'd get more on eBay, since you're selling to the end-user, not someone who was to recycle it or resell it to someone else. Either way, if you go the Verizon route, It'll cost you $13 to get you by until the Inc4G drops. If that's 2 weeks, that's not too bad. The further it's delayed, the more you value you get out of it (assuming the $26 price holds).

I say go for it.

EDIT: Just checked eBay, the lowest Buy It Now is $19.99 (with a cracked screen), after that it's $70 & higher, some for parts, the lowest usable (with scratches) is $75.
