Anyone else notice that the banner that Droid Life posted had a Samsung Stratosphere right next to the Dinc4g and the screen displayed a "Dads and Grads" photo? That should mean release this week since Sunday is Fathers Day! Or at least it was originally meant to release this week

I'd go for it. When you consider what it can do, $40 is pretty good, assuming it's not completely beat to hell and the screen is good. Plus, you might wanna keep a spare phone around in case something like this happens again. I always keep at least one spare data dependent phone in case my primary goes out to safeguard my unlimited data. Worst case I'm sure you could get at least that on eBay or one of those trade in places.

Just checked Verizon trade-in & Gazelle. Verizon was $26, Gazelle was (I used a middle of the road condition for everything) was $16. I'd still bet you'd get more on eBay, since you're selling to the end-user, not someone who was to recycle it or resell it to someone else. Either way, if you go the Verizon route, It'll cost you $13 to get you by until the Inc4G drops. If that's 2 weeks, that's not too bad. The further it's delayed, the more you value you get out of it (assuming the $26 price holds).

I say go for it.

EDIT: Just checked eBay, the lowest Buy It Now is $19.99 (with a cracked screen), after that it's $70 & higher, some for parts, the lowest usable (with scratches) is $75.

Going to check it out and most likely buy it. But you guys are going to have to thank me, because like I said, I will buy it and the Inc 4G will release right after I do, which means it will be available this Thur..;)

That's always how it seems to work isn't it. Maybe if I thank you in advance that'll mean this Thursday is a lock. THANK YOU!:D

Look around carefully, you can find Galaxy Nexus for $50 (free if you have the $50 credit). I got mine free and I really like it. I hope inc4g comes out soon and it is awesome for all you who waited.
i will lose my unlininted data plan if i buy it from other than verizon, who knows i could change my mind again as i often do lol

Damb, now I'm bummed... I can't go pick up the phone from her till tomorrow. She's stuck at work. Now my plan is falling through which means one of two things. Either somebody is looking out for me and giving me one extra day so I can see Big Red announce this Inc 4G tomorrow AM for Thursdays release OR I just jinxed myself really bad.

Great detective work sherlock. How could it mean anything different.

Not really news but confirms that it should still be coming this month

Did I miss something? Verizon used "coming weeks" and you say that confirms this month? Isn't that same thing they said 5 weeks ago?

The marketing posters sent out are a much better indication the phone should be out soon than "coming weeks" which is the same exact words they used weeks ago.

well now we know shared data is coming out in 2 weeks and 2 days. hopefully the june 21 rumor for htc inc 4g is correct or else SGS3 will be last nice 4g verizon phone you can get subsidized if you want to keep unlimited...

Can you post a link to that date?

On the front page of Phandroid. I swear to god Verizon, this phone better come June 21st. I did not wait 3 months just to be told I'd have to lose my unlimited data for this phone! What would piss me off even more is if they launch this on the day of June 28 with the shared data plans. I'd absolutely hate Verizon then. I guess I'll preorder the GS3 if the Dinc4g its not out by June 21st. I dont see why VZW would purposedly release this phone with the shared data plans, 9 million preorders for the GS3 show they arent really that worried about getting people off the unlimited before the plans come out. If this does come out on June 21st though, I'll be the happiest man alive because I barely missed the shared data cutoff

So is it possible to get the SGIII before the 28th (if the inc4g is not out) at contract price and thne when the inc4g is relased sell the SGIII for like $500 and buy in inc4g?

You can pre-order the SGIII, and guarantee unlimited data. At that point you could sell the GSIII once you get it, and buy a inc4G unsubsidized and keep your unlimited, yes. However getting $500 for it is not guaranteed. See mrsbethyoung's post below on how to sell the GSIII as new to get the best shot at this working out for you.

Actually, that's not true. When you receive the phone, all that Verizon requires you to do is accept the new contract on your line. So you just call *228 like you're going to activate the phone (and this can be done from ANY phone), enter the phone number for the line you bought the phone on, confirm the order number, and accept the new contract. The phone can then be sold as new in box. I've done this many, many times with zero issues.

Very good point, I forgot you can do this, thanks.

I understand there is no guarantee. But I figure $100 off full retail might make someone happy. I just didn't know signing a new contract consisted of a disclaimer of some sort saying you canmot resell your subsidized
product in the 2 year contract period.

Nope, the phone is yours to do as you please.

From the article and announcement linked in another thread:

"Customers are free to keep their existing plans, but there is no fee or contract extension to move to the new Share Everything Plans."

Doesn't this mean people can stop panicking about keeping unlimited data.?

I just got off the phone with Verizon, seeing if I could still order a Galaxy S3 and be able to keep my unlimited data plan. I was informed that any subsidized phone activated on the account after their share data plans go into effect (June 28th) will lose unlimited data. I asked what about all the people who preordered the SGS3 to safeguard their unlimited data (phones expected to ship July 1st), & was told they will lose it, since the phone can't be activated until 3 days after the share data plans go into effect.

That is how Verizon is getting a bunch of people off of unlimited data plans, and a particularly back door & s****y way to do it. So for anyone that has unlimited data & has preordered the Galaxy S3, you better call Verizon & find out for yourself if you need to cancel your order.

Until we hear officially from Verizon that we will be able to keep our unlimited data plans then there will continue to be panic.
