Incredible Boot Animation

umm i think this is just the commercial but better?......the only thing i dont like is that those two red dots stop moving back and forth in a short time, could someone make it go back and forth longer?

I had no idea someone posted in the post before mine ha ha. But anyway I agree. Keep the dots moving and delete the HTC part of the animation

I'm so lost when it comes to working in astro and adding bootscreens and boot sounds, I just d/l the thing you posted, but I have no clue how to get it into the bin, i can't find any of the folders like that when i mount my phone as a hd and when i try to move it from the sd card folder on astro i can only move it so far, but can't get it in the bin folder, please help, I am on a mac if that makes a difference. I've watched a lot of videos on youtube and none have helped me so far, although they make it look fairly easy, i get lost when trying to put it on the phone. thanks if anyone can help me. going to bed now, but feel free to pm me.
 
Hey Guys haven't seen a custom boot for the incredible with the rotting apple so i decided to put it together with droid x boot hope you guys like it. This was first attempt at this. I have only been a smart phone owner for a little more than a month. Please say thanks if you enjoy this.

The instructions on page 9 do work nicely. Had a few snags but nothing a few rereads didnt fix.

Wanted to learn to change my boot animation so when the update is pushed, whenever that maybe, I can swap one out with no sound. :)
 
I am rooted using the leaked ota and froyo and you can change your boot animation and sound (even though there is a new method of doing so) but the problem is the sound will cut out halfway through (provided you have an audio clip longer than 10 second) the aido will get very low.

Why this happens I dunno.
 
Is there a way to remove the Droid audio that comes with the Froyo update? I personally dont want my phone making sound every time I turn it on. Do I have to overwrite with a 'blank' sound file?


Ive also read that the new command to add a custom boot to Froyo is now; adb push VZW_bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource/ where the file name has changed as well.

WOW I had no idea that you can change the loading animation on this phone, makes me love it even more! Can I do this without rooting it also I have lockbot pro, would that matter? I love my little Iron Droid lol
 
i dled the new ota and tried to change the boot animation but it doesn't work for some reason. it pushes it to the phone no prob but changes nothing. did they change the location of it in the new ota?
 
This may have already been posted but does anyone know of a descent program other than Photoshop that can make a movie clip into frames .pngs? I spend a lot of time on Photoshop running the "export layers to files" script and need something faster, more meant for that purpose.
 
If you want to get rid of the Drrroooid sound at bootup, try "silent boot" from the market. Fairly certain the animation can't be changed without root due to its new location in a system subfolder that are read only without Superuser. It can definitely be swapped using ADB and I'd guess Root Explorer might work too.
