Incredible owners bash EVO

Listen, the Evo is a great device, note that I did not call it a phone. It's not really a phone IMO. The unit is too big to be a phone and falls under the mini tablet category.

Further more if you buy a case for the evo there is now way it will fit in your pocket and you will need a mini laptop bag to carry it around. This is why I giggle when people are so excited about the 4.3" screen which is not even AMOLED by the way. The device is simply too big to pocket.

Who let 5thelement rejoin?

I can confirm the fist set of pictures with phones stacked on top of each other are indeed accurate as I have compared the HD2. In the second set of pics comparing the iphone the iPhone has a CASE installed on it and its still smaller. The last set of pic comparing the three phones the black background "hides" the evo where as the other phones stand out.

All in all the evo is not a phone IMO but a mini tablet.

The bottom two engadget photos pretty plainly show that the size differences are negligible when side by side. The the other pics with them stacked doesn't do much justice, because curved backs and sides don't make things flush and its harder to compare.

But as the poster above me said, just don't get one and you don't have to worry about it :)

Is Crow the Mel Tillis troll of the board today? Can anyone tell me?

And to clarify, none of the devices in question are phones, they are all wireless devices, that you can happen to make a phone call with...

Having handled the Evo alongside my Hero, it is definitely a larger phone, but not the way you would think. It's thinner than the Hero, but taller and wider, so it feels larger as a whole. I didn't mind it because of that gorgeous screen.

Oh, and the stupid arrows on the default keyboard? You can download any other keyboard and get rid of them. I put Smart Keyboard Pro on it, best keyboard in my opinion, and they were gone. And in SKP you can swipe to bring up a directional pad. Brilliant!
