Root [index]Useful downloads for root users (updated 22nd July 2011)

you should have told me, could have put them into zips with a click of a button
do you want to keep the folders?

Nah I only left them there until I changed the links. They can be deleted now.

It was easy enough I had all the zips anyway so just clicked a button in the ftp client and moved em over. Just took me a week to get round to changing the mirror links ;)

Cheers

Good afternoon Ladies and gents.
Due to the demand of these files (much larger than we anticipated) yet again SURoots dropbox has been maxed but not only that, my monthly bandwidth is reaching its threshold
To minimise this due to people hotlinking the files on other threads we need to reduce the use from other forums etc as this is mainly for androidforums use

We have introduced a password system that will rotate monthly

the user name is
Code:
androidforums
and the password for this month is
susanthegreat

regards

I put the blacked out market on my card, applied it while in recovery, rebooted, but it still isn't showing up. What am I doing wrong?

@SUroot : Just a quick question and perhaps I am being a bit dense.....
but when I try to down load some of apps in your toolbox it comes up as roottools and requests a username and password......
Thanks in advance

would be helpful if I read every post i suppose before asking stupid questions, but as it is a monday here I go for number 2........
Right have down loaded the YUMI and the sim unlock iso. and have created a USB drive as follows:
open YUMI
select USB drive
Now this is where i get a bit confused, if I want to run the sim unlock iso, do I select 'try an unlisted iso' or 'try an unlisted iso (from Memory) or a different one althogether.
Currently I have tried both 'try an unlisted iso' option but when booting off the usb and then plugging the phone in with HBOOT USB nothing happens....
it comes up as running grub and I cannot for the life of me work out what to do next.....
I am guessing it is something really simple that I need to do but an suffering from Monday syndrome.....
thanks for you help

It should come up with an iso. Best bet is to use a virtual machine such as vmware player to mounth the iso. I have a guide for that in my sig somewhere

I have tried the VM player but for some reason it does not like my PC. kept crashing so found it easier to create usb drive but that does not want to work for me either,
Have you ever tried Xboot for USB creation as once I have unlocked the sim I am thinking of running alpharev but don't want to do this if it is likely to cause issues.
