info on evo vs hero and rooted?

Do you mean the 2.6.35 kernel? Yeah, I had been following that kernel, but lost track of it recently due to being busy.

Is it stable now? What improvements have you seen with it?

Who cares if it's stable or not, nandroid, flash it, nandroid back if there's an issue:p;)

Is it just me, or are you only replying to some of my posts to jeer at me about my cautiousness these days? To be honest, it is getting kind of old. :(

I do not see the harm in asking someone their opinion about something mentioned in the thread. I am fully aware that I can Nandroid back, but sometimes I like getting the opinion of someone else who has already tried it before I waste my time on it, especially if they have gleaned a couple of useful nuggets of information that could potentially aid me as I try it out. ;)

Simplistic nature of nandoids, flashing kernels/roms and nandroid restores is my point. What works great for one phone, may not work for another;) But you won't know unless you try it for yourself:)

Truer words have never been spoken and I agree with your sentiment. I have been a bit cautious lately, but it is mostly due to a hectic work schedule and a dearth of time to monkey around with my handset. :(

In time, things will slow down again and I will be back to taking the plunge quickly. Either way, more knowledge is always good whether one plans on trying it out themselves or if they want to hear someone's experiences beforehand. ;)
