Root Infused ROM (Will Phone Clear Data?)

I've been faithfully sticking with the stock ROM and have been very happy with the phone for 6+ months now (Infuse 4G). However, the freeze/vibrate/reset phenomenon which many describe is starting to really get annoying. On top of that, I continue to hear things like how the battery life will be slightly better with the Infused ROM, how speed will be a bit faster for processing, etc. so I finally have decided to break out of my "use what you are given" shell and have successfully rooted my phone.

Before I start the loading process (I've been carefully following the dummy guide at XDA), I just wanted to ask a question. I have a lot of songs/videos/data on my phone - will this all be erased and wiped clean when I load Infused ROM? Despite the directions being watered-down, there are still tech lingos that I'm not too sure I comprehend (and there are ominous warnings like "DO NOT BACK UP WITH TITANIUM", which I have no idea whether it applies to me or not).

Also, I use Japanese and Korean input on my phone in addition to English. Do you guys know if the Infused ROM will be happy handling foreign languages for input and display? I know the stock ROM has no issues, since Samsung is Korean, but regardless, there would be no point for me in doing the Infused ROM installation if I can't type in and see Japanese and Korean.

Thanks so much, ugh, I feel like a total smart phone noob all over again now lol

Songs and videos will not go anywhere. Although pretty much all data, contacts, sms, email, every login for every app, how your homescreens are setup, and all web history/favorites will be gone.

The titanium backup thing just means you can use it to back up all your apps, but when it gives You the choice of restoring apps, only restore apps, don't restore apps + data. Because data from froyo might make gingerbread force close.

As for the other things you'll lose there are apps to restore them as well, sms backup + will restore sms and your call log. Make sure you back up contacts with gmail, then those will return once you add your gmail account again.

Overall its like starting over with your phone, but you don't lose stuff like pictures and songs though. Just apps and their data.

Infused 2.2.3 rox!

Thanks so much for the info! Do you know if the Infused ROM also has the default SWYPE keyboard (not the one you download from the market). I really like this one and it'd be sad to see it go, even if the Infused ROM is awesome :(

I just flashed the bionix rom, but from what I remember it does for sure.
