i just tried to install and wasnt having any of it, got it to boot, then set up process forced closed and just had a black screen after that with the two blinking eyes, same after 3 battery pulls. Nandroid back to GV 1.7

Ben Ive heard some peeps have had problems with 2.0.1. I downloaded 2.0.0 for my sister's Desire last night its running like a dream so far! Infact most peeps seem to suggest this version over 2.0.1 so why dont you check it out? But make sure you wipe before installing it. hope this helps.

2.0.0 is Apps2SD version, 2.0.1 is data2ext version. InsertCoin is a great great ROM, augmented with great community support - check out its wiki here: Main Page - InsertCoin's SenseHD ROM

Even better than those two versions, I am running a version for data++ (see InsertCoin Data++ RoM - InsertCoin's SenseHD ROM) and it is a lite version (rosie launcher and sense widgets stripped out) so my ROM is super super quick.

Huge fan. Once a ginger sense version is out, then I will be in heaven.

I used 1.8h for a long time and loved it until I tried to use different themes, skins etc. They didn't work so, I moved to 2.0 apps2sd+ and the results are amazing!! My battery lasts forever, the rom is lightning fast, have about 60 apps and still have 105mb's free!

I love this rom! :)

Hope Gingersense gets fixed soon too!

i tired 1.8h and got no where, so many boot loops....

if i was to try 2.0.0 is there anyway to keep all my settings?
i have spent along time setting it all up :(

Thanks
ben

Titanium back up being the beft at that. Tis what I'd recommend should I be asked.

Has anyone tried the data++ version? Is it worth the trouble (read: will SUroot be bothered by me in the near future regarding mtd layout)?

Good to know. Folks at XDA welcome every new rom with a "wow so friggin fast", until the next one comes and the old one suddenly is described "as a tad bit laggy". Not really reliable, meh, guess I stay with my current one :-p

A LOT of devs over there are freaks (and a few assholes as well); if you find a rom that you like and works, stick to it! ;)

Lol I totally agree. New posters get ignored most of the times which isnt nice to see. If you're going to advertise your rom you have to deal with that aspect as most of them arent very clued up at the beginning. Im glad I found this forum some of the guys on here have been very helpful esp Dan and Rastaman. I couldnt have done some of the stuff without their help.

I use custom mtd for my own sizes. If you could cook your own alpharev, I'd probably do that

I've found the dev of insertcoin to be the biggest, arrogant arse but he built a great rom!

Lol I can speak for some folks over at MIUIdev, the owner of MIUI.dev is one of the biggest twat around he seems to think he owns the MIUI project but in reality all he does is translate the english language pack of the rom!

yesterday I flashed stock hboot and then restored my GV 1.7
Then wiped and flashed insertcoin 2.0.0 A2SD, but it stopped at splash screen for >25min. tried with insertcoin lite version too..same problem
my ext4 is 512mb.
