Root installing liberty question

Ok well since I can't get apex to install im gonna try running with the big boys and install liberty. But before I did I ha e a few questions. I was reading that it can b installed over gummyjar but does it have to be? Is there anything that I need to do or not do when using liberty?

You can install it after having Liberty installs over GummyJar, not ApeX. To flash any rom over another, it's generally a good idea to wipe cache and data.

If you're already running GJ, then you can upgrade that to Liberty.

O/W download Liberty to your sdcard, boot into recovery, format and wipe, then install Liberty per the directions in the first post for Liberty.

Currently im only rooted with no custom roms. I didn't uninstall apex from my previous phone so that is still on my memory card. I don't know if that matters. I figured when I made a new backup after I rooted this phone it would just overwrite it

New recovery backups don't overwrite old backups. Instead they just pile up until you delete them.

If you have the free version of Titanium (which backs up apps and their data), then it will only keep one backup.

You don't want to install a version of Apex older that 1.3.1 if you have the last OTA (.340) update.
