Root installing OTA 2.2.3(whatever latest version is)

How do I get the latest OTA installed with the dX, when I manually try and install the file through CM i get an error, code 7 I believe, when I try stock recovery it just stops 1/4 of the way and reboots. I've tried downloading an alternate copy offline and still nothing. Only things done to the phone, was a nandroid of the original setup, boot strap, TIBU. i tried custom roms but the GF didnt like them so i reverted back to the stock nandroid.

Are you wiping Data and Cache before doing it? If you are using the 2.3.320 through TBH you MUCH wipe data and cache.

I havent tried wiping data and cache, but will try this when gf gets off of work (I was assuming this was a small update and wouldnt require wipe, no harm in trying)
