Is your HTC Desire covered with insurance? If so where from and how much does it cost?

Can it be insured under house insurance?

Thanks!

Can you get that even if your not with t-mobile (I'm with orange) and what does it cover, can you cancel it any month?

Got it through my bank. Along with travel insurance, break down cover, and card protection among other things. As I pay in over

Same as Ten10, through my bank. My house hold insurance probably covers it too but I haven't checked.

I'm considering insurance for my phone but am a bit reluctant given the contortions insurance companies can go through to not pay out. What sort of cover do you get? Accidental damage including breakages through drops or spillages over it? Has anyone claimed successfully and was it pretty easy?

Well I was sold mine as being covered against anything including malicious damage which I would guess isn't covered under most policies.

But

As you are already with Orange, you have access to the best insurance product avaialable - Orange Car, I think it's

I will ask them, the problem is, I got a contract with orange and got a HTC Hero, but then my dad got an upgrade so I gave him my hero and got a HTC Desire on his contract, so will I still be able to get orane care?

You did the same as me haha

Orange care is excellent and the t-mobile cover is good too. Those who have it covered on their house insurance be aware that the excess payments for a claim can be massive, also bank and house insurance can have long lead times for processing a claim. Also some bank cover only covers the receipt value which is often 0.00 for contract phones so that is worth checking.
If you have your handset insured its worth checking the details of the cover. Most of us probably shop around for deals on the phone its worth doing the same for the insurance.

Has anyone else used the insurance company mentioned above? (CUSC)

Annual fee is very reasonable...

i got from buymobilephones.net-5.99/month, first 3 months free and can cancel anytime (confirmed by directly calling to company CS)
