Root Interesting side effect after GB Leak Root Install

The WiFi Hotspot inst locked down like it normally is. This isnt a big deal for me as I use barnacle wifi tether, but I tapped on this to see and Its working flawless right through the app.

I have a feeling that in the version that Big Red hands out this will not be the case. But good stuff.

I think I read earlier today that VZW is doing a 1 month free trial of the tethering and that is why it's working...or at least that seems to be a group consensus

OK, that makes sense. Not that it matters anyway for us rooted users, but I did think it was interesting. I didn't see any messaging at all, it simply worked like any paid app should.

Either way, I like barnacle wifi tether anyway and will continue to use it. But did think it was interesting.

I didn't need to use a hack or anything. I simply clicked on the 3G Mobile Hotspot App and it worked perfect.

Interesting ....so if vzw is doing a trial version we would not be able to tell of the hack applies until its over ...as well barnacle does the same

What funny is when you try to start up the hotspot and you get the warning pop up it tells you to go to att.com/my wireless to enable the hot spot.

I saw it was doing that over at another site, but I didnt even get that message. Strange.
